MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY

These thoughts for a day are taken from a daily meditation book based on the Messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje by Father Richard J. Beyer, Ave Maria Press.

JUNE 23 - HAVE A PURE HEART

On this day in 1988, the Madonna said to Ivan's prayer group:

Dear children, I am happy and so is my Son. Go to confession to have a pure heart for the anniversary. Come to pray on the hill tomorrow between ten and midnight, but I will not appear. (Visionary's Prayer Group 6-23-88)

St. John also speaks of confession: "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us (1John 1:8-10).

Reflection:

John's words speak to our times. Today there is a growing tendency to joke about sin, to downplay it, or to deny it. For example, people nowadays no longer lie; they merely juggle the facts or stretch the truth.

People no longer steal: they rip-off, lift, or `borrow'. People no longer commit adultery; they fool around or live in the fast lane. People no longer cheat; they pad expenses or fudge figures. People no longer kill unborn children; they terminate a pregnancy or remove an unwanted fetus.

Downplaying or denying sin inevitably leads to downplaying or denying one's need for Christ. For if we have no sins that need forgiving, we have no need for Jesus Christ.

Thus the worst evil is not to commit sin, but to commit sin and then to deny it. Theologian Louis Evely once said: `It is better to sin with sincerity than to lie to oneself in order to stay virtuous.'

Concretely, as Our Lady asks of us today, this means using the sacrament of reconciliation: admitting our sin, seeking forgiveness, and receiving absolution. For it was for this gift that Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, offered himself for us on Calvary. Its fruit is new life.

Application:

This week, if you have not done so for a while, receive the sacrament of reconciliation so as, `to have a pure heart for the anniversary,' as Our Lady urges.

FROM ERA OF PEACE (Fair use, 17 U.S.C. for those of the African Diaspora who would not be otherwise exposed to such).

"Know therefore and understand that from the going forth of the word to restore and build Jerusalem to the coming of an anointed one, a prince, there shall be seven weeks.

Then for sixty-two weeks it shall be built again with squares and moat, but in a troubled time.  And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off, and shall have nothing; and the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end shall come with a flood, and to the end there shall be war; desolations are decreed.  

And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week; and for half of the week he shall cause sacrifice and offering to cease; and upon the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed end is poured out on the desolator."   (Cf. Dan 9:25-27)

(n.b. the Hebrew word is 'gabar' meaning 'confirm'  or 'strengthen'.  The Douay-Rheims Version has it "---he will confirm a strong covenant---"; while the Revised Standard Version - Catholic Edition has it "---make a strong covenant---".  Additionally, it should be noted that in the above citation, 'one week' has been interpreted as a 'week of years'. (1) )

Recently, the militant Arabic group Hamas and the State of Israel struck another temporary truce with respect to Gaza.  The fragile agreement calls for a term of six months; and even before it became effective, there were rumblings by the parties that it would not last.

No, this is not the foretold peace of the Antichrist.  There is much to occur before that event occurs.  Further, such peace will be far more extensive, and will be for a term of seven years. 

This truce is interesting; however, in view of certain private prophecy, and the fact that certain officials of Egypt brokered the truce.

Certain prophecies of Our Lord via John Leary follow.  They indicate that the Antichrist (a) will be a Muslim Cleric, (b) will come out of Egypt, (c) will visit Egypt to get his blessing, (d) would go to Egypt to be anointed by the occult priests, (e) will be going to Egypt to be anointed by the high priest of Satan, and (f) will be put in charge of the European Union.

It makes sense that the Antichrist will be a Muslim cleric.  Who else would be able to control the several militant factions of Islam, but a Muslim cleric?

The prophecies which follow do not indicate that the Antichrist will be born in Egypt.  He could be born anywhere (2), and relocate to Egypt or simply visit Egypt. 

Additionally, they do not indicate that the Antichrist will be present in Egypt or represent Egypt when the false peace accord is struck

What they do indicate, is that Egypt will play a role in the official recognition of the Antichrist.  For that reason, we shall be keeping an eye on Egypt.

Jesus said: "My people, this vision of a setting sun is another example representing the end times which you are living in. I have told you that many will see My coming in glory in your lifetime which is a real message of hope and not despair.

You are seeing many signs in the sky and on the ground that war appears imminent between the Moslems and the Christians. It is not by accident that I showed you the Antichrist as an Arab and a religious leader. Many have been pointing out to you that the Moslem religion does have militant meaning in its roots.

When I came into the world, I have taught a message of love, but many refuse My message to preserve their own traditions. I have given you the full truth about Myself and the Trinity, and all other religions contain only elements of the truth.

Those religions, who preach hate and domination as the only option, are being misled by the evil one. Be thankful, My faithful, that you have been blessed with knowing Me, but you must still love everyone, even those who are hostile to you."

October 3, 2001:
Jesus said: "My people, this vision is a god of the dark side with its source rooted in Egypt. Just as I came out of Egypt to go back to Israel, so the Antichrist will come out of Egypt. on his road to his public ministry that was intended for three or more years.

 I will shorten this time of trial for the sake of My elect, but be aware of this evil one who soon will be announcing his coming into power. Evil will have its reign for a short time, but you can call on Me for protection.

It is to avoid the influence of the Antichrist's demonic powers that I am having My angels guide you to places of refuge for protection.

These evil ones will want to kill My faithful to eliminate My Church on earth, but the gates of hell will not prevail over My remnant Church. Trust in Me during this age of apostasy because your salvation and protection depend on Me only.

Rejoice that when you see the Antichrist announce his reign, then know that My victory over all evil is near. It is like Scripture says, you will not travel through the towns of Israel before I will come in glory." (Matt 10:23) (4)

April 26, 2007:
Jesus said: "My people, this vision of Egyptian gods of the occult is where the Antichrist will visit to get his blessing just as the prophets were anointed by My holy people. 

Everything that I did and represented will be mocked by the evil one whom I will allow to declare himself as ruler of the world at the proper hour.  Thus the Antichrist will come out of Egypt as a man of peace just as I came from there, but I did not seek these occult gods." (4)

April 26, 2007:
Jesus said: "My people, it will be by My authority that the hour of the Antichrist will be announced and I will allow his brief reign.  This beast will be working with the one world people to gain gradual control of all of the government unions that govern each corner of the earth. 

He will come at first as a man of peace, but he will soon become a tyrant leader as he will replace all of the leaders of the nations with his own people.  

When you see this declaration and enthronement, My faithful should be at My refuges or on their way to one.  Fear not these evil ones for I will soon come in victory to defeat them." 

August 23, 2007:
Jesus said: "My people, this is an ominous sign of the old gods of Egypt that represented the occult worship of the demons. I have given you a word that the Antichrist would go to Egypt to be anointed by the occult priests of these old gods.

This ceremony will receive great acclaim among the one world people who are supporting the Antichrist and will bring him into power in the European Union.

The open jaws of this crocodile mean that this event could happen soon as the Antichrist is anxious to devour as many souls as he can with his demonic powers through his eyes.

I have told you to not look at him because of his powers to mesmerize people to worship him. Do not have fear of this evil one for My power is greater and the Antichrist's reign will be brief, but this hour of darkness is about to spread all over the earth.

This is why My faithful will need to seek out My refuges of protection with My angels so you will not be killed or persecuted by these evil ones. Have patience but awhile and I will soon come in victory to defeat them and bring about My Era of Peace." (4)

April 24, 2008:
Jesus said: "My people, this empty chair with Egyptian markings on it represents the chair of power for the Antichrist. He will be going to Egypt to be anointed by the high priest of Satan.

He will be put in charge of the European Union and he will have his brief reign before I will bring his power to a close with My Comet of Chastisement.

Do not have any fear of the evil ones, for I will protect you from being persecuted when you are made invisible. Trust in Me and you will soon see My victory once you see the Antichrist taking his seat of power."  (4)

August 2, 2003:
Jesus said: "My people, as I and St. John the Baptist were persecuted, so you and all Christians will be persecuted by the Arabs.

The Arabs have a deep seated hate for the Christians which resulted from ancient times, and you are seeing this played out in many conflicts all over the world today.

This hate will worsen even as you are seeing terrorism today in Asia and the Middle East.

Religious differences and perpetrated instigation by the one world people will drive a wedge of war between the East and the West. This general warfare will reach right into the tribulation as the Antichrist will come on the scene.

He will claim to be a man of peace at first, but then he will become a tyrant power demanding everyone to worship him.

It will be during his brief reign that My faithful will follow My angels to My refuges of protection.

As you see the Antichrist come to power, you will know that My victory will be close at hand. Rejoice because soon all of the evil ones will be overcome and placed in the flames of hell."

June 25, 1999:
Jesus said: "My people, a time is coming when all of the governments of the world will crumble and fall into the hands of the Antichrist. 

Many do not want to believe that this can happen, but this is how it is written in the Bible.  Once the Antichrist has assumed power, he will assign ten leaders as his puppets to help him control the whole world. 

He will set up a mark of his image to be worshiped, and he will force everyone to buy and sell using his mark that will be placed in the right hand or forehead.  

The monied people of the New World Order will control this new means of exchange through the central banks all over the world. 

There will be a network of satellites to control all of this buying and selling.  My faithful will refuse to accept this authority in their lives.

  There will be a schism in My Church that will force My true believers to go underground away from the evil influences of an Antipope and the Antichrist. 

Refuse this evil money system where these chips will control those who take these chips in their bodies.  I will provide for your protection, your food and your shelter.  Just have faith in Me, and you will have nothing to fear. "

Israel and Hamas Ceasefire Begins

BBC -- June 19, 2008 --  "A ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza has begun, despite a last-minute flurry of cross-border attacks.

The truce is designed to halt Israeli incursions into the Gaza Strip, and to stop missiles being fired from Gaza into southern Israel.

If it holds, Israel will ease its blockade on Gaza and there may be further talks on a prisoner exchange.

Correspondents say the eve-of-truce attacks underline how fragile the agreement could be.

There were no reports of fire from either side on Thursday morning.

Hamas, the Palestinian Islamist group which controls Gaza, said it was confident all militants would abide by the Egypt-brokered truce, which is supposed to last six months. ---

--- Speaking on Wednesday, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said the truce would be fragile and could be short-lived. ---"

Gaza Ceasefire Takes Effect

YNETNEWS - June 19, 2008 --- "The Egyptian brokered ceasefire between Israel and the Gaza Strip terror groups came into effect at 6:00 am Thursday morning. ---

--- The ceasefire is to be absolute, binding both the IDF and all the militant groups in Gaza. Should the truce hold, and after several days, Israel stands to reopen the Karni and Sufa goods crossings, allowing large quantities of food, fuel, building materials and other goods into the strip, in order to facilitate its economy.

Once the Karni and Sufa crossings open - and prior to the reopening of the Rafah crossing - the negotiations to release kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit are to be accelerated.

Both Israel and Egypt have linked the opening of Rafah crossing to Shalit's release. As far as the Egyptians are concerned, opening the crossing would require Hamas to agree to Palestinian Authority forces and EU monitors to be stationed in the crossing in a supervising capacity.

Egypt has also committed to increase its intelligence gathering activities in the Sinai Peninsula in order to foil any future attempts to smuggle weapons and explosives into the Gaza Strip. ---"

Israel and Hamas 'agree truce'

BBC -- June 18, 2008 -- "Israel and militant group Hamas have agreed to end months of bitter clashes with a six-month truce starting on Thursday, Palestinian officials say.

A Hamas official said he was confident all militant groups in Gaza would abide by the agreement, brokered by Egypt.

Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak said it was too early to say a truce was in place but that Israel would "give it a chance".

Earlier at least six Palestinians died in Israeli strikes in southern Gaza. "

"---Egyptian officials say they will continue efforts to broker a similar ceasefire in the West Bank.---"

(1)   A week of years.  This is supported by Daniel 7 & 12 and Revelation 11, 12 & 13.  Half of the week = a time, two times and a half of time = 42 months = 1,260 days = 3.5 years.

(2)    While the Antichrist can be born anywhere, many will be looking for him to be born in Bethlehem in order to satisfy Old Testament prophecy: "And thou Bethlehem Ephrata, art a little one among the thousands of Juda, out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be the ruler in Israel: and his going forth is from the beginning, from the days of eternity." 

(Cf. Mic 5:2).  You will recall that during Jesus' time, some questioned whether He was the Christ as they mistakenly thought that He had been born in Nazareth. (Joh 1:46)

Medjugorje Day By Day June 22 - PREPARE YOURSELF WITH LOVE

On several occasions, I have learned how some religious defend their own glory under the pretext of being concerned for the glory of God, whereas it is not a question of the glory of God, but of glory of self. O Jesus, how painful this has been for me! What secrets the day of Your judgment will bring to light! How can one steal God's gifts?       (1149)

JUNE 22 - PREPARE YOURSELF WITH LOVE

As we approach the anniversary, Our Lady asks us to prepare with love:

Dear children, your Mother is happy to be with all of you. Dear children, you have helped me to realize the plans of God.

I wish to speak to you of love, and give you love. During these days, prepare yourselves for the anniversary with love, with my messages, and with joy. Your mother will help you, dear children, and your Mother will remain with you. There is nothing more important for you than to make what I have said your first priority. (Visionary's Prayer Group 6-6- 98)

St. John also recognizes the primacy of love:

"We love because he first loved us. Those who say, `I love God,' and hate their brothers or sisters, are liars; for those who do not love a brother or sister whom they have seen, cannot love God whom they have not seen. The commandment we have from him is this; those who love God must love their brothers and sisters also (1John 4:19-21).

Reflection:

Some years ago the BBC sent its star journalist, Malcolm Muggeridge, to India to do a documentary on Mother Teresa. The BBC wanted to televise her and her sisters picking up the dying in the slums of Calcutta and caring for them at a shelter they ran. Here the dying are washed up and cared for, as Mother Teresa puts it, `within the sight of a loving face.'

The shelter is dimly lit by tiny windows high up in the walls. The television crew had not anticipated the poor lighting inside the building, and had not brought any portable lights with them. They concluded that it was useless to try to film the sisters working with the dying inside the building. But someone suggested they do it anyway. Perhaps some of the footage would be usable. To everyone's surprise the footage turned out to be absolutely spectacular. The whole interior was bathed in mysterious warm light. Technically speaking, the camera crew said, the results were impossible to explain.

Muggeridge has his own theory about the mysterious light: `Mother Teresa's home for the dying is overflowing with love...This love is luminous, like the haloes artists have seen and made visible round the heads of the saints. I find it not at all surprising that the luminosity should register on photographic film.'

Application:

Today, pray especially for this gift of luminous love, as Our Lady urges us today.

Medjugorje Day By Day June 21- SURRENDER YOURSELVES

"Jesus Christ, my Lord and my God, whom I believe to be really present in the
Blessed Sacrament of the Altar, receive this most profound act of adoration
to supply for the desire I have to adore You unceasingly, and in thanksgiving
for the sentiments of love which Your Sacred Heart has for me in this
Sacrament" (St. Margaret Mary Alacoque).

Mother Teresa  

To make sure that we do not forget, Jesus gave us the Eucharist as a memorial of his love ... When you look at the Crucifix, you understand how much Jesus loved you then, when you look at the Sacred Host you understand how much Jesus loves you now."

Father, why do you cry when you receive Jesus in Holy Communion?" Reply: "If the Church can utter the words: speaking of the incarnation of the Word in the womb of the Immaculate Virgin, what should be said of us miserable creatures? Today, I took part in a one-day retreat. When I was at the last conference, the priest was speaking of how much the world needs God's mercy, and that this seems to be a special time when people have great need of prayer and God's mercy. Then I heard a voice in my soul: These words are for you. Do all you possibly can for this work of My mercy. I desire that My mercy be worshiped, and I am giving mankind the last hope of salvation; that is, recourse to My mercy. My Heart rejoices in this feast. After these words, I understood that nothing can dispense me from the obligation which the Lord demands from me.       (998)

JUNE 21 - SURRENDER YOURSELVES

In anticipation of the anniversary, the Virgin calls us to surrender ourselves to God:

Dear children, until the anniversary day, I call you, the parish, to pray more and to let your prayer be a sign of surrender to God. Dear children, I know that you are all tired, but you don't know how to surrender yourselves. During these days, surrender yourselves completely to me! (Weekly Message 6-13-85)

Perhaps the greatest example of surrender was that of Job, who remained faithful in prosperity and poverty, in illness and in health, in joy and in tragedy. His simple words were:

"Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there; the Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord (Job 1:21)."

Reflection:

Surrender to God is one of the most difficult tasks of the spiritual life, for we are ingrained with a self-centeredness and egotism (original sin) that impels us to seek control not only over our own lives, but over everyone and everything around us. Left unchecked, this sometimes unconscious attitude leads inevitably to emptiness and despair.

However, turning from self to God allows us to enter a new life of God-centeredness, oneness, and joy that we were created for. Instead of moving inward, we move outward, and become free. It all begins, as Our Lady says, with a conscious choice.

Application:

Today, let us make that choice -- using a special prayer written by St. Therese of Lisieux, "The Little Flower":

"I consider that `all is vanity but to love God and serve him alone.' The grace which I especially ask, O Jesus, is never to offend you. My gifts are all unworthy, and so I offer you my very soul, O most loving Savior.

I fear only one thing, my God, to keep my own will.

Take it, therefore, for I choose all that you choose. O my Beloved, I offer myself to you, that you may perfectly accomplish in me your holy designs, and I will not allow anything created to be an obstacle to their accomplishment."

Very soon now, My little one, the earth will reel and convulse because of
the sins of all mankind that are so putrid ...and the stench rises to the
Heavens and to the Throne of My Heavenly Father and His Weeping falls to earth
in the form of rains.

You... yourself, little one, have wept over and over when you see the
disgusting way His children use one another for their own selfish pleasure at
the expense of another ones purity and innocence.

The Chastisement has to be, little one, because there are so many of His people
today who have no conscience and these sins cry out to the Heavens for a just
punishment from the Hand of My Father.

The cruel and inhumane way that His little precious defenseless innocent babies
are dying today is SUCH AN ABOMINATION. If Our children could see what We see
from Heaven their hearts would burst because of the pain. The devil is laughing
at how easy it is for him to win their souls and hearts through every kind of
vice there is today.

Complacency has taken over where fervor used to be. Laziness and love of self
rules today. What is pleasing to the senses is all Our people think about
today. What must it take to get their attention. Do you think My Father wants
to have to destroy His people again and the beautiful world that He created
also.

OH...HOW ALL OF HEAVEN WEEPS AND WEEPS! If Our people knew what is soon coming
they would be on their knees begging and pleading for mercy and more mercy and
more mercy. Dear little one; tell everyone you know to begin praying every
second possible before it is too late.

The messages will very soon cease. All communication will soon stop and the
desolation that will be felt in all hearts around the world you cannot
comprehend. There is little time left now before all is too begin. Children die
to yourselves and your earthly desires. Pray that My Father will give you the
Grace to focus through the Power of His Most Holy Spirit on helping to save
souls because so many many many souls are being lost to Our adversary. Ask
often for the help of Our Most Holy Spirit and My mother and St. Joseph and all
the Holy Angels and Blessed Saints and continue covering yourselves and your
families and everything you have in My Precious Blood and under the Protective
Cloak of My Holy Family and asking all IN MY MOST POWERFUL AND HOLY NAME
especially and praying for the GIFT OF DISCERNMENT always because these are
treacherous times when satan and his cohorts seek to deceive and lead all Our
children astray with 90% truth and 10% lies.

Say the Holy Michael Prayer often and again seek often the help of your Guardian
Angel who is there to protect and guide you on the right path. If our children
can get to the Sacrament of Confession weekly (before receiving the Most Holy
Eucharist- daily...if possible), they will remain so much stronger and the more
often they can get to Adoration and visit Me in the Blessed Sacrament and
receive Graces for themselves and their families and the world and do often
Consecrations to My Father, Myself and Our Most Holy Spirit and (again) to My
Most Holy Family and to all in Heaven (doing sometimes these Consecrations
hourly if needed). They will find that they will remain and stay peaceful no
matter what they see, hear or experience because they will be receiving GRACES
that are much needed for the coming times which will soon be upon the entire
earth.

You will soon see hate and division and disasters everywhere along with complete
chaos and confusion spreading very rapidly everywhere you look.

Remember Our beloved John Paul II's words 'BE NOT AFRAID'. That is all for now
dear little one! I love you and all Our dear children everywhere around the
world and thank them for their obedience and commitment and dedication to
pleasing My Father and spreading His Words of Warning and of Preparation that
are confirmed in Holy Scripture many times in many Books. Your JESUS

* Jesus again repeats Himself many times again because we have still not
understood fully and obeyed all of His Father's Requests because of our human
weaknesses and that the call of the world is so strong and its comforts which we
do not turn away from and die to ourselves because we are so selfish and spoiled
also.

One day very soon all the comforts will be taken away in the blink of an eye so
He can get our attention. I had heard the a very sad true story of a grandfather
molesting his young granddaughter on the day He gave these words and it made me
cry and weep to think what the Father and all in Heaven must have to watch day
after day.

WASHINGTON: Israel carried out a major military exercise earlier this month that American officials say appeared to be a rehearsal for a potential bombing attack on Iran's nuclear facilities.

Several American officials said the Israeli exercise appeared to be an effort to develop the military's capacity to carry out long-range strikes and to demonstrate the seriousness with which Israel views Iran's nuclear program.

More than 100 Israeli F-16 and F-15 fighters participated in the maneuvers, which were carried out over the eastern Mediterranean and over Greece during the first week of June, American officials said.

The exercise also included Israeli helicopters that could be used to rescue downed pilots. The helicopters and refueling tankers flew more than 900 miles, which is about the same distance between Israel and Iran's uranium enrichment plant at Natanz, American officials said.

Israeli officials declined to discuss the details of the exercise. A spokesman for the Israeli military would say only that the country's air force "regularly trains for various missions in order to confront and meet the challenges posed by the threats facing Israel."

But the scope of the Israeli exercise virtually guaranteed that it would be noticed by American and other foreign intelligence agencies. A senior Pentagon official who has been briefed on the exercise, and who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the political delicacy of the matter, said the exercise appeared to serve multiple purposes.

One Israeli goal, the Pentagon official said, was to practice flight tactics, aerial refueling and all other details of a possible strike against Iran's nuclear installations and its long-range conventional missiles.

A second, the official said, was to send a clear message to the United States and other countries that Israel was prepared to act militarily if diplomatic efforts to stop Iran from producing bomb- grade uranium continued to falter.

"They wanted us to know, they wanted the Europeans to know, and they wanted the Iranians to know," the Pentagon official said. "There's a lot of signaling going on at different levels."

Several American officials said they did not believe that the Israeli government had concluded that it must attack Iran and did not think that such a strike was imminent.

Shaul Mofaz, a former Israeli defense minister who is now a deputy prime minister, warned in a recent interview with the Israeli newspaper Yediot Aharonot that Israel might have no choice but to attack. "If Irannuclear weapons, we will attack," Mofaz said in the interview published on June 6, the day after the unpublicized exercise ended. "Attacking Iran, in order to stop its nuclear plans, will be unavoidable. "

But Mofaz was criticized by other Israeli politicians as seeking to enhance his own standing as questions mount about whether the embattled Israeli prime minister, Ehud Olmert, can hang on to power.

Israeli officials have told their American counterparts that Mofaz's statement does not represent official policy. But American officials were also told that Israel had prepared plans for striking nuclear targets in Iran and could carry them out if needed.

Iran has shown signs that it is taking the Israeli warnings seriously, by beefing up its air defenses in recent weeks, including increasing air patrols. In one instance, Iran scrambled F-4 jets to double-check an Iraqi civilian flight from Baghdad to Tehran.

"They are clearly nervous about this and have their air defense on guard," a Bush administration official said of the Iranians.

Any Israeli attack against Iran's nuclear facilities would confront a number of challenges. Many American experts say they believe that such an attack could delay but not eliminate Iran's nuclear program.
Much of the program's infrastructure is buried under earth and concrete and installed in long tunnels or hallways, making precise targeting difficult. There is also concern that not all of the facilities have been detected. To inflict maximum damage, multiple attacks might be necessary, which many analysts say is beyond Israel's ability at this time.

But waiting also entails risks for the Israelis. Israeli officials have repeatedly expressed fears that Iran will soon master the technology it needs to produce substantial quantities of highly enriched uranium for nuclear weapons.

Iran is also taking steps to better defend its nuclear facilities.
Two sets of advance Russian-made radar systems were recently delivered to Iran. The radar will enhance Iran's ability to detect planes flying at low altitude.

Mike McConnell, the director of national intelligence, said in February that Iran was close to acquiring Russian-produced SA-20 surface-to-air missiles. American military officials said that the deployment of such systems would hamper Israel's attack planning, putting pressure on Israel to act before the missiles are fielded. continues with its program for developing

Believing in the Real Presence in the Holy Eucharist

Dear Friends,

"Unless the Lord build the house, they labor in vain who build it. Unless the Lord guard the city, in vain does the guard keep vigil. It is vain for you to rise early, or put off your rest, you that eat hard-earned bread, for he gives to his beloved in sleep." Ps 127:1-2

It is sunny this morning although there are a few clouds. It will be a nice day with the temperature over 20 degrees Celsius.

The retreat on Contemplative Prayer begins this evening at 7:00 p.m. in the prayer room. I will start with a conference followed by Holy Mass and confessions. Tomorrow we will start at 9:30 a.m. and I will have a Healing Mass tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome. During these days of retreat there will be no messages.

On Monday, June 23, I will start my journey to the USA. On Monday evening I will go and sleep at my friends and we will leave together for Maine and Connecticut on June 24. I will be home at the beginning of July and there will be no message before July 4.

The Result of Believing in the Real Presence in the Holy Eucharist

Dr. Bob Rice in his booklet on the Holy Eucharist has this question asked him by his wife: "Do you think you could ever go back to the Protestant church again?"

His answer to the question was, "to whom shall I go?" It is the same answer given by Peter in John 6:66-68: "As a result of this, many (of) his disciples returned to their former way of life and no longer accompanied him.

Jesus then said to the Twelve, 'Do you also want to leave?' Simon Peter answered him, 'Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.'"

Dr. Rice asked this question: "Why is it that so many Catholics come to receive the Holy Eucharist with such lack of respect?" It is true that many Catholics are cold to the Holy Eucharist and indifferent to Christ's real presence.

Some do not even believe that Jesus is truly present in the host and in the chalice. Some do believe mentally but not in their heart. The problem is that many Catholics do not understand the awesome gift they have in the Holy Eucharist.

We can ask the following question to the Catholics according to Dr. Rice: "Why is it that many Catholics hurry to get out of church?" The priests tell us that the Holy Eucharist is the center of our faith and the most important part of the Mass.

So why is Holy Communion always rushed through? If we believe that Jesus is really present in the Holy Eucharist, we should be in awe. We should fall down in adoration before God! We would want to spend as much time with Him as possible.

So, one should not be in a hurry to get out of church to watch a football game or TV. All Catholics need to fall in love with Jesus once more!

This morning I will celebrate Holy Mass at 9:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, as the priests are gone to the Eucharistic Congress in Quebec City. There will be Eucharistic Adoration at our church the whole day.

 The Real Presence of Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist

 In Dr. Bob Rice's book on the Holy Eucharist, the following question is answered: does the bread and wine really become the Body and Blood of Our Lord at the consecration at Mass?

The Lord sent him to read St. Paul's First Letter to the Corinthians and this is what it says, For I received from the Lord what I also handed onto to you, that the Lord Jesus, on the night he was handed over, took bread, and after he had given thanks, broke it and said, This is my body that is for you.

Do this in remembrance of me. In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, This is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it in remembrance of me. For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord until he comes.

Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily will have to answer for the body and blood of the Lord. A person should examine himself, and so eat the bread and drink the cup.

For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body, eats and drinks judgment on himself. That is why many among you are ill and infirm, and a considerable number are dying. 1 Cor 11:23-30

 He received these words from the Lord, Bob, if I would have meant for the bread and wine to simply be symbols of my Body and Blood, I would have said to my disciples, listen my friends, this bread and wine are only symbols of my Body and Blood. But that is not what I said. I said this is my Body this is my Blood.

 It is a fact that the Protestant pastor cannot consecrate a cracker and grape juice into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. The only person who can consecrate the bread and wine and have them become the Body and Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Catholic priest. That privilege is reserved for the Catholic priest alone.

JUNE 20 - GIVE ME ALL YOUR PROBLEMS The anniversary of the Medjugorje apparitions (JUNE 25) seems to be very important to Our Lady, for she begins preparing us for it days in advance. For instance, on this day in 1985, she said:

Dear children, for the coming feast day, I wish to call you to open your hearts to the Master of all hearts. Give me all your problems and worries! I want to comfort you in all your trials. Truly, I wish to fill you with peace, joy, and love for God (Weekly Message JUNE 20,1985).

St Peter speaks of the good fruit which trials can bear:

In this you rejoice, even if now for a little while you have had to suffer various trials, so that the genuineness of your faith being more precious than gold that, through perishable is tested by fire may be found to result in praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed (1 Pt 1:6-7).

Reflections:

Problems and trials are a part of life, of course, but there are several ways of dealing with them.

Rather than holding onto them through worry and fear, Our Lady asks us to, "Give me all your problems and worries," a way of saying "Let go, and let God." This trusting surrender to the Lord of our problems is the spirit behind this passage by St. Francis de Sales

Do not look forward to the trials and crosses of this life with dread and fear. Rather, look to them with full confidence that, as they arise, God, to whom you belong, will deliver you from them.

He has guided and guarded you thus far in life. Do you but hold fast to his dear hand and he will lead you safely through all trials. Whenever you cannot stand, he will carry you lovingly in his arms.

JUNE 21 - SURRENDER YOURSELVES

In anticipation of the anniversary, the Virgin calls us to surrender ourselves to God:

Dear children, until the anniversary day, I call you, the parish, to pray more and to let your prayer be a sign of surrender to God.

Dear children, I know that you are all tired, but you don't know how to surrender yourselves. During these days, surrender yourselves completely to me! (Weekly Message 6-13-85)

Perhaps the greatest example of surrender was that of Job, who remained faithful in prosperity and poverty, in illness and in health, in joy and in tragedy. His simple words were:

"Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there; the Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord (Job 1:21)."

Reflection:

Surrender to God is one of the most difficult tasks of the spiritual life, for we are ingrained with a self-centeredness and egotism (original sin) that impels us to seek control not only over our own lives, but over everyone and everything around us. Left unchecked, this sometimes unconscious attitude leads inevitably to emptiness and despair.

However, turning from self to God allows us to enter a new life of God-centeredness, oneness, and joy that we were created for. Instead of moving inward, we move outward, and become free. It all begins, as Our Lady says, with a conscious choice.

Application:

Today, let us make that choice -- using a special prayer written by St. Therese of Lisieux, "The Little Flower":

"I consider that `all is vanity but to love God and serve him alone.' The grace which I especially ask, O Jesus, is never to offend you. My gifts are all unworthy, and so I offer you my very soul, O most loving Savior.

I fear only one thing, my God, to keep my own will.

Take it, therefore, for I choose all that you choose. O my Beloved, I offer myself to you, that you may perfectly accomplish in me your holy designs, and I will not allow anything created to be an obstacle to their accomplishment."

 Pope Benedict XVI wrote of the Most Holy Eucharist, "The One whom we adore—as I was saying—is not some distant power.  He has knelt down before us to wash our feet. 

And that gives to our adoration the quality of being unforced, adoration in joy and in hope, because we are bowing down to enter into a love that does not make slaves of us but transforms us. 

So let us ask the Lord that he may grant us to understand this and to rejoice in it and that this understanding and this joy may spread out from this day far and wide into our country and our everyday life" (God is Near Us).

JUNE 19 - LET PEACE RULE

The Blessed Mother speaks of peace today:

Dear children, today I invite you to peace. As the Queen of Peace I have come to deepen within you my motherly peace. Dear children, I love you and I wish that all of you experience God's peace which enriches every heart. I invite you to become carriers and witnesses of my peace to this unpeaceful world.

Let peace rule over all the earth, which is devoid of peace and yet longs for it. I bless you with a mother's blessing (Monthly Message July 25, 1990),

St. Peter also urges us to seek peace:

Those who desire life and desire to see good days, let them keep their tongues from evil and their lips form speaking deceit; let them turn away from evil and do good; let them seek peace and pursue it (1 Pt 3:10-11).

Reflection:

To be truly at peace we must put our lives and talents to use in serving God and our neighbor in the service of love.

The prizes that the world values money, fame, or pleasure never truly satisfy. God never allows even one human being whom he has created to be content with anything short of himself.

As St. Augustine wrote, "Our hearts are restless until they rest in thee." And so Our Lady reminds us that peace is a gift" which only God gives and which enriches every heart." This is the peace that comes from purpose in our lives, from loving and serving God and neighbor.

Application:

Today, pray that through your life, talents, and prayers, you may become, as Our Lady says, "a carrier and witness of my peace to this unpeaceful world.

JUNE 18 - NOW IS THE TIME

The following was given to the locutionist Marijana:

My angel, pray for unbelievers. People will tear their hair, brother will plead with brother, they will curse their past lives lived without God. They will repent, but it will be too late.

Now is the time for conversion. I have been calling you for the past four years. Pray for them. Invite everyone to pray the rosary (Special Message August 15, 1985).

IN equally strong language, Jesus urges readiness for his second coming:

For as the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the Son Of Man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark and they knew nothing until the flood came and swept them all away, so too will be the coming of the Son of Man.

Then two will be in the field; one will be left. Two women will be grinding meal together; one will be taken and one will be left. Keep awake therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming (Mt 24:37-42).

Reflection:

"Now is the time of conversion," the Madonna says today, echoing the words of Jesus in the gospels. Of course the bet reason for converting or deepening our faith is out of love for God, but some may need the impetus of the warnings of Christ and his Mother today. How one comes to faith is as unique as each individual.

The British educator F. H, Drinkwater tells the story of Ira Dutton, born on a farm in Vermont, a teen-age dropout from school, and an enlistee in the northern army when the Civil War broke out. Eventually promoted to officer's rank, he was twenty-two when the war ended.

From there he began the tragic downward spiral of alcoholism. For years he led a kind of double life, sober in the daytime, but drunk and carousing at night, until that time when the disease entered its final, terminal stage.

At this juncture he experienced through the grace of God, a life-changing conversion and a miraculous healing of his alcoholism.

At the age of forty, he was received into the Catholic Church and changed his first name to Joseph. Two years later he read about Fr. Damien and determined to go and help him with the lepers. When he met Damien on the beach of Molokai in 1886, he told him he wanted no special treatment: "I wish only to serve my fellow man."

Fr. Damien already had leprosy, and in another few moments was dead. Brother Joseph lived for another forty years on Nolokai, devoting himself to the care of lepers until his own death in 1926.

Application:

In prayer today, abandon yourself again to Our Lady, asking for the grace of deep conversion.

Jesus said: “My people, there are many people who do not believe in My Real Presence because they do not understand transubstantiation or they have not been taught this core of their faith. It is rarely heard about from the pulpit, and there are even some priests who do not believe either. In order to understand the meaning of the Real Presence you could go to ‘The Catechism of the Catholic Church’: (1374)

‘In the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Eucharist the Body and Blood, together with the Soul and Divinity, of Our Lord Jesus Christ and, therefore, the whole Christ is truly, really, and substantially contained.

This presence is called ‘Real’-by which is not intended to exclude the other types of presence as if they could not be ‘real’ too, but because it is presence in the fullest sense: that is to say, it is a substantial presence by which Christ, God and man, makes Himself wholly and entirely present.’
Holy Communion is consecrated at the Consecration of the Mass and the bread becomes My Body and Blood as a sacramental presence under the appearance of bread. This belief in this transubstantiation is also found in the Catechism: (1376)

‘The Council of Trent summarizes the Catholic Faith by declaring: Because Christ our Redeemer said that it was truly His Body that He was offering under the species of bread, it has always been the conviction of the Church of God, and this holy Council now declares again, that by the consecration of the bread, and wine there takes place a change of the whole substance of the bread into the substance of the Body of Christ Our Lord and of the whole substance of the wine into the substance of His Blood.

This change the Holy Catholic Church has fittingly and properly called transubstantiation.’

Truly I am Present in the consecrated Host so you can receive Me intimately in Holy Communion and worship Me in My Host at Adoration. Believe in My Real Presence because I am with you in My Blessed Sacrament to the end of time.”

Jesus said: “My people, this room full of chairs is where you will be holding your home Masses and prayer groups once the division in My Church comes about. Many of these home Mass sites will be secret interim refuges where people will stay on their way to their final refuge.

Time is getting close for going to your refuges, and people are making their last minute preparations for Mass kits and extra food that will be multiplied. Preparing backpacks with your sacramentals and physical needs as clothing and tents are all things that should be ready before you leave.

Do not be fearful of this time because My angels will protect you by making you invisible to those who want to kill you. Pray for strength and courage during the tribulation, but know I am by your side ready to provide for all of your needs.”

Jesus said: “My people, I have asked people many times to try and make an extra visit to adore Me besides Mass time. Because of crime and break-ins in many cities, most churches are locked, making it difficult to find an open church for Adoration.

Some places of Adoration use a key or a combination to gain entry to My Blessed Sacrament, but these are also rare to find. People have made such a fear about security, that you are locking My people out from being able to see Me.

Thank heaven that you have a few brave churches who make it possible to see Me any time of the day. If you do not know of such a church close to you, then you could ask someone or a priest if they know of such a church. These open churches are your present havens for adoring My Blessed Sacrament. Treasure them and make it known to others who may want to visit Me at off hours.

Encourage people to reverence Me and adore Me as often as they can make the time to come and be with Me in love. All of those, who make this extra effort to be with Me, are storing treasure up in heaven for your judgment.”

Jesus said: “My people, many of you come to Mass on Sunday, but how many live My Gospel message all of the other days of the week? It is one thing to hear and read the words of Scripture, but it is another to put these words to work in your actions.

You say one thing with your lips, but your actions may be saying something else. This vision of the places where you shop asks the question if people can identify you in the world as acting with Christian values and virtues.

You need to be consistently faithful and do not act like a hypocrite who says one thing, but does another. By your good deeds and actions you can evangelize more souls than just by your words alone. Your good example to others is your best witness or testimony to My words of the Gospel.

You are tempted by the evil one to sin every day, so it takes spiritual strength and endurance to keep faithful. You may not see much reward for your good actions in this life, but you surely will see your reward in the next life. So be strong in your daily life by a good prayer life and you will remain united with Me in your heart which directs all of your actions.”

Jesus said: “My people, this large sand box represents a situation in the Middle East where there is a threat of nuclear weapons being used or manufactured.

The large clear plastic enclosure means that this is being viewed by the whole world. The threats by the Iranian president to annihilate Israel have Israel’s leaders thinking of a pre-emptive strike on Iran. Israel in the past has attacked Arab countries when they threatened to make nuclear weapons.

It is the United States that is holding Israel back, but this will not go on for long if Iran develops nuclear bombs. With China and Russia backing Iran, any pre-emptive attacks could involve wider complications in a possible war. Any war in this area could cause oil prices to increase as supplies of oil could be threatened.

Pray, My people, that peace will be maintained in this region, or a worse war could result. See the need for praying more rosaries for peace.”

Jesus said: “My people, even since My day people have been loath to paying excessive taxes. Tax collectors cheated the people by adding on taxes to give themselves more income.

The fact that tax collectors were rich tells you of their devious means of making money off the people. In your society of today you also are paying heavy taxes, especially land taxes that are hurting people with low incomes.

Aside from your government demands, I also stressed to the people to give back to God at the synagogues or churches what belongs to God.

The one who preaches and evangelizes My Word is worthy of being supported in their work for Me in saving souls. Supporting My Church is one of your Christian responsibilities and a part of the laws of My Church. Contributing to My Church is one way of thanking Me for all that I have given you.

My Third Commandment calls you to worship Me on Sunday at Mass, and to have Mass it is necessary to support a church financially so you have a place to go. You pay your taxes because of man’s law, but support your churches because of My laws.”
Jesus said: “My people, this vision is a message of warning to your President that an attempt will be made on his life because of some coming decisions on a possible war with Iran.

Arab nations, Russia, and China are very aware of a possible United States strike against Iran because of Iran’s making enriched uranium for potential bomb making. Some Arab terrorists will be planning this attack in secret because of their hate for America.

Other terrorist plans are also in motion to try and bring down some of your city infrastructures in multiple cities at once. Many could die from such attacks.

Your government will have to be on a full scale alert to prevent these attacks which could still take place. Before the elections you could see both man-made and natural disasters occur which could postpone your elections. Pray in earnest that these events could be mitigated or prevented. Pray also that war does not come in Iran which could lead to World War III.”

St. Catherine of Siena says: Praise be to Jesus.

Today, all over the world, little pockets of the Remnant Faithful are forming, but only from this particular Site are they being called into the Chambers of the United Hearts.

There are others who claim such messages they are false. Further, at this Site, the Rosary of the Unborn is strengthening the Remnant in their resolve to put an end to the crime of abortion.

For these reasons and more, Jesus is asking for the formation of home rosary groups. These groups would be devoted to the Messages and the spirituality that emanates from them, as well as recitation of the Rosary of the Unborn.

Heaven is not raising up new visionaries or messengers in these groups, but encourages that all that has been said here be lived out from the heart. Enough has been given here that challenges each soul to perfection. It is a trap of Satan to look for more or to claim to be chosen.

Your prayers and your commitment is what Jesus sends me to ask for. He awaits your response.

Jesus said to the people, "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst." John 6:35

Another Eucharistic Miracle

In his book, Dr. Bob Rice wrote about the first time he went to Eucharistic Adoration with his wife. He wrote these words, "The time arrived for us to go to the healing service in Arizona. I had never seen the Blessed Sacrament exposed for adoration before that night.

However, placed on the altar was this thing called a monstrance and inside it was the Blessed Sacrament. As Brendan preached his message that night, I sat up front and looked at the Blessed Sacrament.

Suddenly the face of Christ appeared to me in the center of the Blessed Sacrament. It was like the Lord was saying to me, 'see Bob, I really am present in the Holy Eucharist.' I said, 'all right Lord, I get the picture.'"

The Lord began to deal with him in his heart. If Jesus is truly present in the Holy Eucharist, then so is His power, because He cannot be separated from His power.

Did you know that the power that healed the sick, cleansed the lepers, raised the dead and cast out devils is also present in the Holy Eucharist? It is true because Jesus is present in the Blessed Sacrament with all His power. He is there as the risen Lord, alive and the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity.

Bob asked Jesus this question: "Lord, is there some way that you can use me in the Catholic Church?" The Lord answered him "yes." He could use him in the Catholic Church.

The Lord told him, "If you will go and preach that the kingdom of heaven is at hand, I'll heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead and cast out devils." The Lord told him that the reason why the Kingdom of heaven is at hand is because Jesus is truly present in the Holy Eucharist.

He was to go out and tell the people that Jesus is present in the Holy Eucharist. If he did this then there would be many healings.

 Yesterday it was cloudy the whole forenoon but the sun did come out in the afternoon. It was warm in the sun but it became cool in the evening. This morning there is fog but it will lift and we should have a partly sunny day.

 I went to the Manor yesterday to celebrate Holy Mass at 1:30 p.m. with the residents. Many of them came to the chapel. Afterwards I visited the bedridden in their rooms. I had visitors during the day who came especially for prayers. This morning I will celebrate Holy Mass at 9:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, as the priests are gone to the Eucharistic Congress in Quebec City. There will be Eucharistic Adoration at our church the whole day.

The Real Presence of Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist

 In Dr. Bob Rice's book on the Holy Eucharist, the following question is answered: does the bread and wine really become the Body and Blood of Our Lord at the consecration at Mass? 

The Lord sent him to read St. Paul's First Letter to the Corinthians and this is what it says, For I received from the Lord what I also handed onto to you, that the Lord Jesus, on the night he was handed over, took bread, and after he had given thanks, broke it and said, This is my body that is for you.

Do this in remembrance of me. In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, This is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it in remembrance of me. For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord until he comes. Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily will have to answer for the body and blood of the Lord.

A person should examine himself, and so eat the bread and drink the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body, eats and drinks judgment on himself. That is why many among you are ill and infirm, and a considerable number are dying. 1 Cor 11:23-30

He received these words from the Lord, Bob, if I would have meant for the bread and wine to simply be symbols of my Body and Blood, I would have said to my disciples, listen my friends, this bread and wine are only symbols of my Body and Blood. But that is not what I said. I said this is my Body this is my Blood.

It is a fact that the Protestant pastor cannot consecrate a cracker and grape juice into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. The only person who can consecrate the bread and wine and have them become the Body and Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Catholic priest. That privilege is reserved for the Catholic priest alone.

JUNE 18 - NOW IS THE TIME

IN equally strong language, Jesus urges readiness for his second coming:

For as the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the Son Of Man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark and they knew nothing until the flood came and swept them all away, so too will be the coming of the Son of Man. Then two will be in the field; one will be left.

Two women will be grinding meal together; one will be taken and one will be left. Keep awake therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming (Mt 24:37-42).

Reflection:

"Now is the time of conversion," the Madonna says today, echoing the words of Jesus in the gospels. Of course the bet reason for converting or deepening our faith is out of love for God, but some may need the impetus of the warnings of Christ and his Mother today. How one comes to faith is as unique as each individual.

The British educator F. H, Drinkwater tells the story of Ira Dutton, born on a farm in Vermont, a teen-age dropout from school, and an enlistee in the northern army when the Civil War broke out. Eventually promoted to officer's rank, he was twenty-two when the war ended.

From there he began the tragic downward spiral of alcoholism. For years he led a kind of double life, sober in the daytime, but drunk and carousing at night, until that time when the disease entered its final, terminal stage.

At this juncture he experienced through the grace of God, a life-changing conversion and a miraculous healing of his alcoholism.

At the age of forty, he was received into the Catholic Church and changed his first name to Joseph. Two years later he read about Fr. Damien and determined to go and help him with the lepers.

When he met Damien on the beach of Molokai in 1886, he told him he wanted no special treatment: "I wish only to serve my fellow man." Fr. Damien already had leprosy, and in another few moments was dead. Brother Joseph lived for another forty years on Nolokai, devoting himself to the care of lepers until his own death in 1926.

Application:

In prayer today, abandon yourself again to Our Lady, asking for the grace of deep conversion.

Dear Friends,

The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord's throne is in heaven. His eyes behold, his searching glance is on mankind. The Lord searches the just and the wicked; the lover of violence he hates. For the Lord is just, he loves just deeds; the upright shall see his face. Ps 11: 4-5,7

The sky is covered this morning and it is cool. However, the sun should shine this afternoon. We will not have any rain today.

Yesterday I celebrated Holy Mass at Miminegash at 9:00 a.m. and the second Mass I celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, at 11:00 a.m. Today I will go to the Manor in Alberton to celebrate Holy Mass at 1:30 p.m. I am preparing for the retreat, which will begin at the prayer room Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. There will be a Healing Mass on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

I continue now with Dr. Bob Rice's book on the Holy Eucharist. He wrote that the third problem in receiving healing is not discerning the Lord?s Body and Blood properly. He asks the question: Is Jesus Christ present in the Holy Eucharist? The answer to that question is YES. As a Protestant Pastor he believed that the bread and wine were symbols that represented the Body and Blood of Christ. The Catholic Church, however, believes that when the priest consecrates the bread and wine at Holy Mass, they become the Body and Blood of Christ.

To make a long story short, Bob Rice became a Catholic on Easter Sunday 1999. He wrote that the first year that he was a Catholic, as he went to receive Holy Communion, he would have a little talk with the Lord: ?Now Lord, You and I both know that the bread and wine really don't turn into your Body and Blood. They're just symbols that represent Your Body and Blood, but Lord, I do this just the same in remembrance of what you did for me.

In the year 2000, when Bob was fasting one day, he asked Jesus in prayer the following: You know I love you and I want the truth. When the Catholic Priest consecrates the bread and wine, do they really become Your Body and Blood? To answer this question the Lord took him to the Gospel of St. John (John 6:47-58). Here are a few quotations from this passage: I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world. Later in the passage we have these words of Jesus, Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.

JUNE 15 - DRAW EVER CLOSER TO THE FATHER

The Blessed Virgin wishes to draw us close to the Father:

Dear children, today I ask you to open your hearts to God like spring flowers which yearn for the sun. I am your Mother and I wish you to draw ever closer to the Father, that he may grant abundant gifts to your hearts. ( Weekly Message January 31, 1985).

One of these gifts is the vision to see form the perspective of heaven as God does:

So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth, for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God (Col 3:1-3).

Reflection:

The believer's real home, Paul says today, is with Christ in heaven. This gives us a different perspective on our lives here on earth. To "set your minds on things that are above," as Paul says today, means simply to look at life from God's perspective. Among other things, this is an antidote to materialism, for we gain a proper perspective of material goods when we take the Lord's view of them. From his viewpoint in eternity, how would he perceive money, prestige, or power? What of family, friendships, or acts of sacrifice? The more we see the life around us as God does, the more we can live in harmony with him. As Our Lady has advised in several of her messages, we must not become too attached to what is only temporary.

Application:

In prayer today, spend several minutes thinking of the priorities in your life. Then switch to God's viewpoint, and examine the same priorities. Is there a match?

HOLY AND BLESSED TRINITY

Dear child, tell all priests, all religious men and women to again take their
vows- - -take them seriously, live them and obey God, follow Jesus, walk in His
Footsteps. Live love, love for ALL men, all people, all creatures, all
creation. Give of yourself until it hurts as Jesus did. Take the Sacraments to
all needy- -sick, crippled, homebound, those in nursing care, those alone, the
elderly- -ALL people. Be a Good Samaritan for there are, sadly, extremely few
in the world today. Most, yes, far too many live for personal gain, things-
-things that bring NO everlasting, eternal reward.

The sins of My religious children ARE SCARLET! So many are leading souls astray
whole they ignore My Son and teach heresy. They approve, same sex unions,
abortion, marriage for priests, worldly things, such as; clothing, cars,
vacations, having children- -Jesus and His Apostles had NO ties to this world -
-neither should you. Pray as Jesus did- - -always! Detach, from all that is
worldly! Bring Jesus and His teachings back into YOUR teachings. Be a example
of Christ in all that you do, and say, your every action, should be one of love.
Whatever you do, love your neighbor. Who is your neighbor? Everyone, anywhere!
As God IS YOUR FATHER, you are all brothers and sisters. God's love is to
spread love where their is hatred, bring light to disperse the darkness, where
there is sadness bring joy, where there is suffering, bring hope, feed the
hungry, cover the naked, where there is fear bring trust in Me. Be reflections
of Jesus! Wear your religious habits! Be proud to be My followers, My
teachers, My priests, My religious.

Pray for one another. Follow the rules of your founders. You can, YOU must
change the world and bring people back to Me, to Jesus, to Our Holy Spirit- -
-The Holy Trinity. Time is so very short! Begin today to do your priestly
duty, your religious duties. Be instruments of My peace and love. Be not
afraid for I am with you always till the end of time. Be strong! Respect all
life from conception till natural death. Pray daily to Holy Michael My
Archangel for all the strength you need and all the protection. Bring back My
Commandments. Take your vows again and do all for Me in My Name. You CAN
change the world IN MY NAME! Begin immediately! Amen, I your God have spoken!
Save your immortal soul and the souls of everyone with when you come in contact!

JUNE 17 - MANY ARE SEEKING MONEY

The Gospa expresses a special concern to Mirjana:

Right now many are greatly seeking money not only in the parish, but throughout the world. Woe to those who seek to exploit those who are coming here, and blessed are those who have been exploited (Special Message March 18, 1985).

And in Mark's gospel, Jesus encounters a rich young man:

Jesus, looking at him, loved him and said, "You lack one thing; go, sell what you own, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me." When he heard this, he was shocked and went away grieving, for he had many possessions. Then Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, "How hard it will be for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!" (Mk 10:21-23).

Reflection:

There was a barrier keeping the young man out of the kingdom: his love of money. Perhaps it represented his self-respect, accomplishments, or family name. Whatever the reason, money had become his first priority.

Why did Jesus feel it was hard for the rich to enter heaven? Perhaps because the wealthy have most of their basic physical needs met, and thus often become self-reliant rather than reliant of God. Perhaps Jesus knew that money can be a salve to dull the pain that was meant to draw them to God. Ironically, in their wealth, the rich can suffer the truest poverty, the absence of God in their lives.

Christ explained that in the world to come, the values of this world will be reversed. Those who seek status and importance here will have none in heaven, and vice versa. It is important, then, to begin to live heaven's values while still on earth.

Application:

In prayer today give Our Lady your money and possessions, asking her to help you use them unselfishly and wisely.

"Anthony was a friend of St. Francis and became a Franciscan priest. He was a great preacher on the Real Presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and told everyone he met about his love for Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. St. Anthony was also known as a great miracle worker who loved the poor and sick people very much.

Many people think that having money makes you happy. I think it must be harder to be happy if you are wealthy because you may find it difficult to see God; you'll have too many other things to think about.

During the meditation on creation... at a certain point, my soul became closely united to its Lord and Creator. In this union, I recognized the purpose and destiny of my life. My purpose is to become closely united to God through love, and my destiny is to praise and glorify God's mercy.

 The Lord has allowed me to know and experience this in a distinct and even physical way. I become lost in admiration when I recognize and experience this incomprehensible love of God with which God loves me. Who is God - and what am I? I cannot meditate on this any further.

Stories continue to come out of China, from time to time, of the heroic efforts of the few remaining bishops and priests to keep the faith alive and nourish the underground church. One such story tells of a priest who lives and works as a coolie.

The Chinese Catholic takes his purchase home and usually, after a short family service, receives communion. Clearly the most exalted gift of Christ is his very body and blood in the Eucharist.

"The Lord calls us friends, he makes us his friends, he entrusts himself to us, he entrusts to us his Body in the Eucharist, he entrusts to us his Church.

"The best influences in life are undeliberate, unconscious; when no one is watching, or when reaction to the good deed was never sought. Quickly, however, my trust in the infinite mercy of God was awakened in all its force, and everything else had to give way before it, like a shadow retreating before the sun's rays.

The believer's real home, Paul says today, is with Christ in heaven. This gives us a different perspective on our lives here on earth. To "set your minds on things that are above," as Paul says today, means simply to look at life from God's perspective. Among other things, this is an antidote to materialism, for we gain a proper perspective of material goods when we take the Lord's view of them.

The Holy Eucharist

Dear Friends,

“The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord’s throne is in heaven. His eyes behold, his searching glance is on mankind. The Lord searches the just and the wicked; the lover of violence he hates. For the Lord is just, he loves just deeds; the upright shall see his face. Ps 11: 4-5,7

I continue now with Dr. Bob Rice’s book on the Holy Eucharist. He wrote that the third problem in receiving healing is not discerning the Lord’s Body and Blood properly. He asks the question: Is Jesus Christ present in the Holy Eucharist?

The answer to that question is YES. As a Protestant Pastor he believed that the bread and wine were symbols that represented the Body and Blood of Christ. The Catholic Church, however, believes that when the priest consecrates the bread and wine at Holy Mass, they become the Body and Blood of Christ.

To make a long story short, Bob Rice became a Catholic on Easter Sunday 1999. He wrote that the first year that he was a Catholic, as he went to receive Holy Communion, he would have a little talk with the Lord: “Now Lord, You and I both know that the bread and wine really don’t turn into your Body and Blood.

They’re just symbols that represent Your Body and Blood, but Lord, I do this just the same in remembrance of what you did for me.”

In the year 2000, when Bob was fasting one day, he asked Jesus in prayer the following: “You know I love you and I want the truth. When the Catholic Priest consecrates the bread and wine, do they really become Your Body and Blood?”

To answer this question the Lord took him to the Gospel of St. John (John 6:47-58). Here are a few quotations from this passage: “I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.” Later in the passage we have these words of Jesus, “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life and I will raise him on the last day.

For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.”

Dear Friends,

Have pity on me, O God; have pity on me, for in you I take refuge. In the shadow of your wings I take refuge, till harm pass by. I call to God the Most High, to God, my benefactor. Psalm 57:2-3

I celebrated Holy Mass in the prayer room yesterday morning and I was at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, last evening at 7:00 p.m. for the French Mass. I will be at the Church of the Assumption in Miminegash this morning at 9:00 a.m. for the celebration of Holy Mass and I celebrate the last Mass of the day at 11:00 a.m. at Palmer Road Church. All the priests are gone to the Eucharistic Congress in Quebec City and they will only return on June 23.

The Forgiveness Prayer (last part)

Lord, I forgive all the INCONSIDERATE DRIVERS that endanger my life and my family by their reckless driving habits on the highway. Lord, I forgive them.

Lord Jesus, I especially pray for the grace to forgive the ONE PERSON in my life who has HURT ME THE MOST. I forgive anyone who I consider my greatest enemy, the one who is the hardest for me to forgive or the one I said I would never forgive. I forgive the person(s) who abused me sexually, physically, emotionally or spiritually. Lord, I forgive that person today.

Lord, I forgive these people, and I ask you to forgive them as well. I also ask You, Lord, to bless each of these people. Those who know You as Savior, bless all of them with spiritual blessings. Those who do not know You as Savior, Lord bless them with your saving grace, that they might come to know You as Lord, God and Savior.

Lord, I beg pardon from all these people and any others who I may have forgotten, for the hurt I have inflicted on them, especially my mother and father, and my marriage partner. I am truly sorry for the hurts I inflicted upon each of them.

And now Lord, as I have forgiven others, I forgive myself and will not allow Satan to falsely accuse me. Renew a right spirit within me and hold not Your Holy Spirit from me. Cover me with Your precious blood, fill me with Your Holy Spirit, stir up Your spiritual gifts within me and fill me with expectant faith so that I can minister more effectively to others. I renounce Satan, his evil spirits and all their works. I give you my entire self, Lord Jesus, now and forever. I invite You into my life, Lord Jesus; I accept You as My Lord, My God and My Savior. Heal me, change me, fill me and strengthen me in my body, soul and spirit. I love You, Lord. I praise You, Lord. I thank You, Jesus. I shall follow You every day of my life. Amen.

JUNE 15 - DRAW EVER CLOSER TO THE FATHER

The Blessed Virgin wishes to draw us close to the Father:

Dear children, today I ask you to open your hearts to God like spring flowers which yearn for the sun. I am your Mother and I wish you to draw ever closer to the Father, that he may grant abundant gifts to your hearts. ( Weekly Message January 31, 1985).

One of these gifts is the vision to see form the perspective of heaven as God does:

So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth, for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God (Col 3:1-3).

In prayer today, spend several minutes thinking of the priorities in your life. Then switch to God's viewpoint, and examine the same priorities. Is there a match?

 Dear Friends,

 Have pity on me, O God; have pity on me, for in you I take refuge. In the shadow of your wings I take refuge, till harm pass by. I call to God the Most High, to God, my benefactor. Psalm 57:2-3

I celebrated Holy Mass in the prayer room yesterday morning and I was at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, last evening at 7:00 p.m. for the French Mass. I will be at the Church of the Assumption in Miminegash this morning at 9:00 a.m. for the celebration of Holy Mass and I celebrate the last Mass of the day at 11:00 a.m. at Palmer Road Church. All the priests are gone to the Eucharistic Congress in Quebec City and they will only return on June 23.

 The Forgiveness Prayer (last part)

 Lord, I forgive all the INCONSIDERATE DRIVERS that endanger my life and my family by their reckless driving habits on the highway. Lord, I forgive them.

 Lord Jesus, I especially pray for the grace to forgive the ONE PERSON in my life who has HURT ME THE MOST. I forgive anyone who I consider my greatest enemy, the one who is the hardest for me to forgive or the one I said I would never forgive. I forgive the person(s) who abused me sexually, physically, emotionally or spiritually. Lord, I forgive that person today.

 Lord, I forgive these people, and I ask you to forgive them as well. I also ask You, Lord, to bless each of these people. Those who know You as Savior, bless all of them with spiritual blessings. Those who do not know You as Savior, Lord bless them with your saving grace, that they might come to know You as Lord, God and Savior.

 Lord, I beg pardon from all these people and any others who I may have forgotten, for the hurt I have inflicted on them, especially my mother and father, and my marriage partner. I am truly sorry for the hurts I inflicted upon each of them.

 And now Lord, as I have forgiven others, I forgive myself and will not allow Satan to falsely accuse me. Renew a right spirit within me and hold not Your Holy Spirit from me. Cover me with Your precious blood, fill me with Your Holy Spirit, stir up Your spiritual gifts within me and fill me with expectant faith so that I can minister more effectively to others. I renounce Satan, his evil spirits and all their works. I give you my entire self, Lord Jesus, now and forever. I invite You into my life, Lord Jesus; I accept You as My Lord, My God and My Savior. Heal me, change me, fill me and strengthen me in my body, soul and spirit. I love You, Lord. I praise You, Lord. I thank You, Jesus. I shall follow You every day of my life. Amen.

Jesus Warns Us Of The Consequence Of Sin!

Today at the 8:00 A.M. Mass I made small offerings to Jesus and Mary and
prayed for all those with special intentions and needs, including my own.

In preparation of receiving the Blessed Host, the Body and Blood of Christ,
I made an Act of Contrition.

After receiving the Body and Blood of Christ, I knelt in silent commune
with Jesus. I gave thanks to Him for His many blessings and confided in Him
about my inner feelings and worries. Then I asked Him to please cover me with
His most precious blood in saying, Speak Lord (if it be Your will), Your servant
listens.

Jesus responded to my heart saying, My child Eileen, it is with great
regret that I inform you of the great devastation that is about to befall you as
well as all My creatures. This is because we are now entering into an era that
is brought about as a direct result of sin! Go in peace to love and serve the
Lord. Continue to pray for your brothers and sisters. Amen.

JESUS AGAIN WARNS US TO PREPARE FOR DEVASTATION!

Today we attended the 8:00 A.M. Mass at our parish, Our Lady Of Sorrows
where I prayed for special intentions and the needs of all my brothers and
sisters. After making small offerings to Jesus and Mary, I prayed a sincere Act
Of Contrition in preparation of receiving the Most Sacred Body and Blood of
Christ in the sacrament of Holy Communion.

On my knees with both hands covering my face, I communed with Jesus. I
thanked Him for His many blessings and told Him of my great love for Him. Then I
prayed; speak Lord if it be Your will, Your servant listens.


For a few moments I believed there was no message from Jesus to us today,
for all that I saw was a very peaceful color of blue. But then Jesus spoke
saying, My child Eileen, know that this is the peace before the storm! Go in
peace to love and serve the Lord. Continue to pray for your brothers and
sisters. Amen.

Jesus Reminds Us That The Time Of Grace Grows Short

We celebrated the 8:00 A.M. Mass at our parish, Our Lady Of Sorrows where I prayed for the special needs and intentions of all. After making an Act of Contrition in preparation of receiving Holy Communion, I offered humble gifts to Jesus and Mary.

After receiving the Body and Blood of Christ during the Sacrament of Holy Communion, I knelt in silent commune with Jesus thanking Him for His many blessings. Then I prayed, Speak Lord (if it be Your will), Your servant listens. And I prayed Lord, Let my mind not see anything unless it come from You, and let my hear not hear any words other than those from Your heart.

With my heart and my mind focused only on Jesus, I knelt with my two hands covering my face and I saw a dark huge tornado and its Eye was very deep. Then Jesus responded to my prayer saying with this message for all of His children; As the world begins to experience more severe tornados, take note that now they will be felt in geographic areas where previously there has been little exposure to tornados. This is because I want My children to look to the heavens and know that I AM the only one true God.

Go in peace to love and serve the Lord. Continue to pray for your brothers and sisters. Amen.

Mother's Day


JESUS CAUTIONS US THAT NOW IS A TIME OF GRACE FOR REPENTENCE


We celebrated the 8:00 A.M. Mass at our parish, Our Lady Of Sorrows where I

Jesus and Mary.


After receiving the Body and Blood of Christ during the Sacrament of Holy
Communion, I knelt in silent commune with Jesus thanking Him for His many
blessings. Then I prayed, Speak Lord (if it be Your will), Your servant listens.
And I prayed Lord, Let my mind not see anything unless it come from You, and let
my hear not hear any words other than those from Your heart.


In a short time I began to see a huge Whirlpool as large as a lake begin to
stir and I heard Jesus say, Look up and see the dark clouds brewing and you will
know that there is a huge whirlpool stirring that will spread and begin to pull
in land and as it does, many homes will be pulled like in a vacuum into the
water. This is so that all will look up and know that there is only One I AM who
controls the earth and all contained therein. Then many will use this time of
grace as it is intended, for repentance.


I love you as I love all My children. Go in peace to love and serve the
Lord. Continue to pray for your brothers and sisters. Amen.

The Lord is blessing us with very fine weather these days. Yesterday it was sunny the whole day. It was windy with the result that there were very few flies around. Today it is sunny again and there is wind.

Lord, I forgive all PROFESSIONAL PEOPLE who have hurt me in any way. I forgive all service people, especially repairmen who have taken advantage of me in their work. Lord, I forgive them.

Lord, I forgive my SCHOOL-TEACHERS AND CLASSMATES of the past and the present. Those who punished me, humiliated me, insulted me, treated me unjustly, made fun of me, called me dumb or stupid, Lord, I forgive them.

The Lord is blessing us with very fine weather these days. Yesterday it was sunny the whole day. It was windy with the result that there were very few flies around. Today it is sunny again and there is wind.

I celebrated Holy Mass last evening at 7:00 p.m. and I will celebrate Holy Mass this morning at 9:30 a.m. in the prayer room. I will be at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, this evening for a French Mass at 7:00 p.m.

Next Friday, June 20, I will start the retreat on Contemplative Prayer at the prayer room at 7:00 p.m. There will be a Healing Mass on Saturday, June 21, at 3:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

Dear Friends,

A clean heart create for me, O God, and a steadfast spirit renew within me. Cast me not out from your presence, and your holy spirit take not from me. Give me back the joy of your salvation, and a willing spirit sustain in me. Ps 51:12-14

Again I thank the Lord for the wonderful day we had yesterday. It was sunny all day with a nice little wind and the temperature reached 20 degrees Celsius in the afternoon. We are supposed to have another fine day today.

I worked at home for most of the day yesterday writing and answering e-mail letters. I had to go for groceries and I received two boxes of rosaries from dear friends in the USA. I will celebrate Holy Mass this evening at 7:00 p.m. at the prayer room.

The Forgiveness Prayer continued

Jesus, I forgive my CHILDREN for their lack of respect, obedience, love, attention, support, warmth, understanding; for their bad habits and actions that disturb me, I forgive them.

My God, I forgive my IN-LAWS AND OTHER RELATIVES who treated my family with a lack of love and respect. For all their words, thoughts or actions that injure and cause pain to me and my family, Lord, I forgive them.

Lord, I forgive my EMPLOYER for not paying me enough money, for not appreciating my work, for being unkind and unreasonable with me, for being angry or unfriendly, for not promoting me when I deserved it, and for not complementing me on my work when I did a good job, Lord, I forgive them.

I forgive my CO-WORKERS who are disagreeable or make life miserable at work. For those who push their work off on me, gossip about me, won't cooperate with me, for those who try to make me look bad so they will look good in the eyes of the boss, and try to take my job, Lord, I forgive them.

I forgive my NEIGHBORS. For all their noise, for letting their property run down, not tying up their dogs who run through my yard and do their job on my front lawn, for being prejudiced and running down the neighborhood, Lord, I forgive them.

I forgive my CLERGYMAN, my Pastor or Priest, and all other leaders in my church, other members of the CONGREGATION and my CHURCH for their lack of support, affirmation, bad sermons, pettiness, lack of friendship, not providing me or my family with the inspiration we needed, for any hurts they have inflicted on me or my family, even in the distant past, I forgive them.

"Ever since, with Pentecost, the People of the New Covenant 'began their pilgrim journey toward the heavenly homeland, the Divine Sacrament has continued to articulate their days, filling them with confident hope' (ibid.). Thinking specifically about this, I wished to dedicate to the Eucharist the first encyclical of the new millennium and I am now happy to announce a special Year of the Eucharist. JUNE 14 - YOU WILL ENDURE EVERYTHING

In the second month of the apparitions, the visionaries have a vision of Christ. Our Lady says to them:

My angels, I send you my Son, Jesus, who was tortured for his faith, yet he endured everything. You also, my angels, will endure everything (First Years July 27, 1981).

Similarly, Paul encourages the Thessalonians in their trials:

Therefore we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith during all your persecutions and the afflictions that you are enduring. This is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, and intended to make you worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are also suffering (2 Thes 1:4-5).

Reflection:

Every life includes trials and hardships. Theologians tell us it is the consequence of sin and evil in the world, which disrupts even nature affects the innocent as well as the guilty. Today, St. Paul teaches that God can draw good out of our hardships:

"For he is using your sufferings to prepare you for his kingdom."

Our problems can help us look upward and forward, rather than inward. They can help to build strong character, and they imbue us with an extra measure of compassion for others who are struggle. Problems are unavoidable for people of faith living in a faithless world. Yet, linked to the sufferings of Christ, they have a redemptive value and meaning.

Today, offer any hardships or pain you experience for a special prayer intention.

have been designed to serve a very unique purpose. As discussed in greater detail on the home page of era-of-peace, it is used in conjunction with its mother site to assist and guide all of God's children through the Great Tribulation of the book of Revelation.

Accordingly, primary emphasis has been given to the accumulation of few archived messages at the era-of-peace web site, as opposed to many individual emailed messages to members. Our intention is to build a relatively small base of messages, to facilitate the painting of the "big" picture as eschatology is realized daily. As new members join, especially during the foretold confusion associated with the Warning, they will see for themselves the foretold events materializing together with supporting evidence.

GLORIOUS MYSTERIES"Ever since, with Pentecost, the People of the New Covenant 'began their pilgrim journey toward the heavenly homeland, the Divine Sacrament has continued to articulate their days, filling them with confident hope' (ibid.).

Thinking specifically about this, I wished to dedicate to the Eucharist the first encyclical of the new millennium and I am now happy to announce a special Year of the Eucharist. It will begin with the World Eucharistic Congress, planned from October 10-17 in Guadalajara (Mexico), and will end with the next ordinary assembly of the Synod of Bishops, which will be held in the Vatican from October 2-29, 2005, and whose theme will be 'The Eucharist: Source and  Summit of the Life and Mission of the Church.' 

We are all God's children so it is important to share His gifts. Do not worry about why problems exist in the world - just respond to people's needs.

I approve of your work for gaining souls for Jesus. By all means receive Holy Communion for the Holy Father's intentions (Letters III, p 463).

"Whenever we set out to give `good example,' we generally do not give it.

The best example is given when we are off duty and are not acting `professionally, ' such as the minister or rabbi or priest when he comes down from his pulpit, the womanizer after he has finished his discourse on the `necessity of recognizing the rights of women,' the politician when he has finished his television oration on `my profound interest in social justice and my love of the common good.'

When Peter told Our Lord that though others failed Him, he would never fail, the Savior retorted that within twenty-four hours Peter would deny that he even knew Him. What we say is less important in the way of influence than what we do

Oh, how ardently I desire that every soul would praise Your mercy. Happy is the soul that calls upon the mercy of the Lord. It will see that the Lord will defend it as His glory, as He said. And who would dare fight against God?

 All you souls, praise the Lord's mercy by trusting in His mercy all your life and especially at the hour of your death. And fear nothing, dear soul, whoever you are; the greater the sinner, the greater his right to Your mercy, O Lord. O incomprehensible goodness! God is the first to stoop to the sinner.

O Jesus, I wish to glorify Your mercy on behalf of thousands of souls. I know very well, O my Jesus, that I am to keep telling souls about Your goodness, about Your incomprehensible mercy.       (598)

Jesus, You know that I love suffering and want to drain the cup of suffering to the last drop; and yet, my nature experienced a slight shudder and fear. Quickly, however, my trust in the infinite mercy of God was awakened in all its force, and everything else had to give way before it, like a shadow retreating before the sun's rays.

O Jesus, how great is Your goodness! Your infinite goodness, so well known to me, enables me to bravely look death itself in the eye. I know that nothing will happen to me without God's permission. I desire to glorify Your infinite mercy during my life, at the hour of death, in the resurrection, and throughout eternity.       (697)

In the second month of the apparitions, the visionaries have a vision of Christ. Our Lady says to them:

My angels, I send you my Son, Jesus, who was tortured for his faith, yet he endured everything. You also, my angels, will endure everything (First Years July 27, 1981).

Therefore we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith during all your persecutions and the afflictions that you are enduring. This is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, and intended to make you worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are also suffering (2 Thes 1:4-5).

Reflection:

Every life includes trials and hardships. Theologians tell us it is the consequence of sin and evil in the world, which disrupts even nature affects the innocent as well as the guilty. Today, St. Paul teaches that God can draw good out of our hardships:

Our problems can help us look upward and forward, rather than inward. They can help to build strong character, and they imbue us with an extra measure of compassion for others who are struggle. Problems are unavoidable for people of faith living in a faithless world. Yet, linked to the sufferings of Christ, they have a redemptive value and meaning.
