I call you all to have hope in My promises
Reading: Mark 16:1-13
Dear friends,
Have among yourselves the same attitude that is also yours in Christ Jesus, who though he was in the form of God did not regard equality with God something to be grasped.
Rather he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness, and found human in appearance, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross. Because of this God greatly exalted him. Philippians 2:5-9
I spent a half-hour in contemplative prayer this morning with Jesus, Our Lord and God. He said, Melvin, My brother and friend, I love you and I bless all My brothers and sisters living in the world, especially those who believe in My resurrection and accept Me as their Lord and Saviour.
You are in the season of Easter, the great feast that celebrates My rising from the grave. Read the great accounts of My resurrection in the Gospels and believe that I am the Son of God, who for love of every man and woman, suffered and died on the cross for their salvation.
The Father highly exalted Me by bringing My body back to life after three days and called Me to sit at His right hand in heaven.
My resurrection from the dead placed the seal on My mission on earth. It showed that I am indeed the Messiah, the Saviour of the world.
You can have confidence in Me and in every word I said. My resurrection is the foundation of your faith in Me and it shows that I am divine. My people do not doubt this great truth.
Now that I am risen from the dead, you can believe My words that all the dead will rise again. When I return to earth at the end of time, all those who died from the beginning of the world will come back to life.
This will be the general resurrection when all will take back their bodies; some will go to eternal bliss in heaven and others to eternal damnation.
Those in heaven will have a transformed and glorified body, never to suffer or die again. I call you all to have hope in My promises that all I have said will come to pass.
Follow Me today and every day and you will find yourself on My right on the last day and I will bring you home with Me in heaven. I love you all.

Dear friends,
How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts! My soul yearns and pines for the courts of the Lord. My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Happy they who dwell in your house! Continually they praise you. Psalm 84:2-3, 5
I spent a half-hour in contemplative prayer this morning with Jesus, Our Lord and Friend. He said, Melvin, My brother and close companion, I love you and I love all My brothers and sisters living in every country of the world, especially those who are very sick and close to death.
Every person will face death one day; nobody lives forever. Many people are afraid of death and they never want to think about it.
Look at death and see that it is only the passage from one world to another. Live every day as if today were your last day and tomorrow you would appear before Me, your Saviour. This thought will bring you close to Me and it will help you to avoid sin.
I am the Son of God who was born on earth as a human being to bring you the great gift of salvation. I had to endure a horrible death by being nailed to the cross.
My suffering and death were to redeem you from your sins and to open heaven for you. Although I never sinned, I experienced death and was buried in the tomb. My body remained in the tomb only three days and I came back to life, never to die again.
You know that death entered the world because of sin and I used suffering and death to save you from your sins. If you believe in Me and live in accordance with My teachings, you should not be afraid of death because you are coming to heaven to be with Me forever.
I call you to be My friend so that I may live in your heart every day of your life. When you leave the world, I will be there to get you and to bring you to your true home. You will be filled with joy to be united with Me forever. I love you and bless you.

Cherish your faith
Reading: Matthew 16:1-4
Dear friends,
The fool says in his heart, there is no God. Such are corrupt; they do abominable deeds; there is not one who does good. God looks down from heaven upon the children of men to see if there be one who is wise and seeks God. Psalm 53:2-3
I spent a half-hour in prayer this morning and I was with Jesus, Our Lord and Saviour. He said, Melvin, My brother and companion, I love you.
I bless with all My Heart all My brothers and sisters, especially those who acknowledge Me and follow Me. Faith is a precious gift, which Our Father gives freely to those who are disposed to receive it.
Many have received this gift, but for some it has been choked by the allurements of the world and by the refusal to practice it.
If one receives this great gift from the Father but does not make use of it, this person will surely lose it and in time will be an atheist.
The psalm refers to this person as a fool because he or she is blind. This person cannot see the marks of God in nature and in everything around him. Who is behind all the amazing cycle of the seasons?
Who has put order in the universe so that it works just like a clock? Look how marvelous the atom or the cell is. Each has its own function and how beautiful each one works.
Can chance bring all this about? Throw a puzzle up in the air and do you think all the pieces will fit together and form the puzzle before the pieces fall back to the ground? No, they will be more mixed up than before.
An atheist is one who does not use the mind given to him by the Heavenly Father who is the Creator. Only a believer in the Supreme Being can give an adequate answer to the puzzle of the world.
My dear brothers and sisters, cherish your faith and put it in practice every day. It is through prayer that your faith in God will grow. If you have faith, you will love God with all your heart. If you ask Me, I will strengthen your faith. I bless you.

P.S. Yesterday evening I was in Summerside for a Healing Mass. We had a good group and one woman shared about the healing of her sore foot, which caused her much pain. She attended a previous Healing Mass and the Lord healed her.

APRIL 11 - I LOVE YOU IMMEASURABLY
Our Lady speaks of love today:
"Dear Children, I thank you for the love which you have shown me. You know, dear children, that I love you immeasurably, and that I pray to the Lord daily that he may help you to realize more fully the love which I bear you. That is why, dear children, pray, pray, pray (Weekly Month August 21, 1986).
Paul also speaks of love:
For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then we will see face to face. Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known. And now faith, hope and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these of love (1 Cor 13:12-13).
Reflection:
Clearly love is the very essence of God's nature and the motivating force of our faith. We could spend our lives attempting to fathom its depth. This I bear witness with my latest breath Knowing the love of God, I fear not death.

MEDJUGORJE DAY BY DAY
APRIL 10 - BEGIN CHANGING YOUR FAMILY LIFE
The family is the topic of Our Lady's message today:
"Dear Children, today I call you to begin changing your family life. May it be like a harmonious flower which I can present to Jesus.
Dear Children, I ask each family to actively pray, for one day the fruit of family prayer will clearly seen. Then I will give you all to Jesus, like the petals of many flowers, in fulfillment of God's plan" (Weekly Message May 1, 1986)
In this passage from Ephesians, Paul urges us to seek wisdom and to rejoice in the name of Jesus Christ:
Be careful then how you live, not as unwise people but as wise, making the most of time, because the days are evil. So do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but be filled with the Spirit, as you sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, singing and making melody to the Lord in your hearts, giving thanks to God the Father at all times and for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Eph 5:15-20).
Reflection:
Truly our joy resides in Jesus Christ, as Paul tells the Ephesians, and as Our Lady tells the families of the world. Clearly it is in the family that Christ is born into the hearts of children and where the torch of faith is passed from one generation to the next.
And so the Blessed Mother urges that, "Every family be active in prayer," for this makes all the difference.
Application:
In response to the Virgin's message today, offer the following prayer for your family:
Lord Jesus, I implore you to grant your special graces to our family. May our home be a shrine of peace, purity, love, labor, and faith. I ask you, dear Jesus, to protect and bless all of us, absent and present, living and dead.
O Mary, loving Mother of Jesus, and our Mother, pray for our family, for all the families of the world. Guard the cradle of the newborn, the schools of the young, and their vocations.
Blessed St. Joseph, holy guardian of Jesus and Mary, assist us by your prayers in all the necessities of life.
Ask of Jesus that special grace which he granted to you, to watch over our home and the pillow of the sick and the dying, so that with Mary and with you, heaven may find our family unbroken in the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Amen.

Son, I am willing to grant your request for your sanctification, however, let
me remind you that it takes a collaborative effort on your part to attain your
fervent desire, a desire quite pleasing to me and which I would want everybody
to first ask Me rather than ask me for material blessings as a priority.
I will
take care of your material needs and that goes along with my gifts of the spirit
and if sacrifice is needed at times, please be assured that the overriding
purpose transcends anything that is perceivable by the ordinary senses for the
spirit is made more alive by the occasional sacrifice.
I say this to you to
make your journey a more pleasant and exciting one rather than of worrying and
boredom that characterize an uncharged spirit. For the spirit is willing but
the flesh is weak.
When the spirit overpowers the flesh, doing everything my
holy will directs, then it can be truly said that ascension in the spirit is an
accomplished fact.

Living The Word
Today I spent time alone with Jesus in quiet contemplation and prayed for
all with special intentions and needs.
After making humble offerings to Jesus
and Mary, I knelt in prayer asking Jesus to cover me with His most precious
blood. Then I asked; Speak Lord (always and only, if it be His will), Your
servant listens.
Jesus responded to my prayer with these words; Eileen My child, you testify
to My word. All My Apostles are called to live and testify to My word that all
will come to know I AM. Bless you.
Go in peace to love and serve the Lord. Continue to pray for your brothers
and sisters. Amen.

My dear people, Jesus is with you tonight and always. Do not fear coming to Him
in prayer and thanksgiving. Rejoice in His great love for you, and know that He
is near to you always to bring you great news of the Father?s love for you.
My dear people, rejoice with Me this evening, for the Father?s mercy is being
poured forth in your hearts and minds to give you peace in your soul and in your
mortal bodies.
Do not fear the future ever, for God, who is your Creator, loves
to hold you in His arms and give you His eternal blessing from above.
I also
wish to give you peace in your souls and bodies, by bringing you the Father?s
words and by glorifying Him in your midst forever.
I love you, my dear people. God is pleased that you are here tonight, and He
wishes to comfort you.
That is why He is sending His Son among you, and that is
why He is now allowing you to hear these words through Me. So believe in the
Son?s love for you, by approaching His altar tonight, where He awaits you with
glad tidings of the Father's mercy and love.
I am with you, my dear people, allowing you to now hear these words, because it
is the Father?s joy to set all His people free.
I love you, my dear people. Go now to rejoice in your Lord.
I am with you, my dear people. Thank you once again for having responded to my
call.
REFLECTION:
We have given the Blessed Mother many titles, but her greatest title is the
MOTHER OF GOD. And since we have become brothers and sisters of Jesus through
His redemption for us, Jesus also has given Mary to us as our Mother.
In order to be part of a family, you have to have a Mother and a Father. And the
greatest desire of our Mother is to draw us closer to Jesus, who in turn, draws
us closer to the Father.
The message tonight from Our Lady is very clear. She is telling us to REJOICE in
the Lord, who loves us so much. She wants us to know how much the Father cares
for us, and she wants to let us know that the Father's mercy and love is being
poured forth in our souls and bodies through her Son, in order to bring us the
peace that only the Father can give, a peace that is everlasting.
The Blessed Mother is encouraging us come to God in praise and thanksgiving
because God loves us so much and wants to give us His eternal peace..
Mary
always echoes the Father's love and mercy for us. And she gives us the means to
have peace in our souls, through leading us to the Sacraments and giving us the
rosary, which includes the meditations on Jesus? life, death, and resurrection.
We all have many trials in our life, but the Blessed Mother can give us special
graces to get through those trials, because she is the Mediatrix of all grace,
and she knows best how to distribute those graces to us according to our needs.
St. Louis DeMontfort tells us that Mary is the quickest, surest, and safest
route to Jesus.
So the next time you are experiencing trials in your life, have the faith and
courage to call upon the Mother of God, who will then lead you to Jesus.
Mary
gave Jesus His flesh and blood, and she sacrificed her Son, in union with the
Father, so that we could eat His flesh and drink His blood and have life
everlasting.

Reflections on Mercy
Carol Ameche
3-29-08: "My dear one, I wish you to write for the world your thoughts and
appreciation of the unequalled gift of My Mercy to touch the hearts of all who
read. you have captured the essence of My Mercy and the great need for it
present in every life on earth.
When My Jesus asked you all so long ago to come
before Him in His Tabernacle without need or agenda or requests, you did not
understand it entirely, but now your perception has deepened and filled with the
enormous need and dependence of all My children for the unconditional love and
forgiveness and acceptance that only I can give to each of you.
This kind of
mercy is available to every person in the world, especially the most wounded and
needy of My people. It is My greatest joy and pleasure to give to all who will
accept this degree of healing and renewal.
It is the only opportunity for most
of My people to reach their goal of unity with Me and eternity in My Heavenly
Kingdom. The suffering of many in the world is unbearable and beyond your
imagination.
Praise and thank Me for your own way of life, all of you who listen
and pray, no matter how difficult it sometimes becomes. My excitement and
delight in the increased gratitude and appreciation for My Mercy is what holds
back My justice until the last possible second, and gives the opportunity to as
many as possible to turn to Me and accept this enormous and oh-so-necessary
gift.
Be a product of My mercy and a conduit for the world that encourages more
and more of My suffering ones to surrender their defensive and proud
postures/positions in order to become instruments of mercy and salvation for the
world.
Rejoice with Me and all of Heaven that My plan goes forward sooner than
you even hope for all you await to become and to live out My Will.
Believe I am
your Father and Creator God speaking words of love and encouragement and life to
your heart and mind and spirit. You are indeed worshipping Me in Spirit and in
Truth, Life and Light.
We begin a new level of mutual trust and reciprocal mercy
as you live more fully My Perfect Will for you. This relationship must be
developed in a quiet way, hidden from the world in perfect obedience on your
part.
You have taken a giant leap of faith in accepting My recent words of
explanation (on personal healing) to you. Know that this relationship we share
is not some lofty way of living, but an even simpler way of life with your own
surrender and dependence on Me and My protection.

God the Father: "My dearest child, be filled with peace for these special
days....
The idea of living in community will be a great obstacle to Americans
who have such pride of ownership of land possessions! Those who are able to
leave behind their homes and possessions will be the core of life in Our
refuges.
It will take enormous trust to do this to follow the Angels into the
unknown. I am gifting My faithful remnant with the strength to surrender to all
My plans for them, especially the time of total loss of everything.
Begin to
pray for each other's strength to share all their possessions and then to leave
homes and property behind."

These contain explanations of our times and the beliefs of the Early Fathers
and Doctors of the Church from his ability to read and translate and speak at
least six languages! They will help you enormously to understand the msgs.
being given all over the world to messengers of God and Blessed Mother. Fr.
Joseph says (as he is on the committee to beatify Luisa Picaretta and strong in
understanding of Divine Mercy) 'The Feast of Divine Mercy is the only assurance
of a complete remission of sin.' that we know.
As you know, the words of Jesus
to Faustina regarding His Divine Mercy Novena are to be read and prayed from
Good Friday to the following Saturday before Divine Mercy Sunday and promise the
complete remission of all the punishment due to all the sins of those who say
these prayers and receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation within eight days
before or after the Novena and receive the Eucharist in the state of grace.
This
gave rise to my increased appreciation of God's Mercy in the gift of this Novena
and all of God' perfect Mercy for us.
In our humanness we inherit the weaknesses that accompany Original Sin,
we all sin and carry some tendencies and weaknesses all of our lives.
Because we
are a sum of the influence and inheritance of our genes from countless ancestors
in a process of random selection, we are a composite of behaviors and tendencies
over which we must learn to gain control and with God's grace quit a life of sin
and vow to remain faithful.
But we don't do a very good job, because of the defenses and anger etc. that
build up as a result of how people treat each other. God knows how his people
suffer at the hands of each other and even in families and in many cases we are
victims of our genes, environment and other's behavior, social level, abuse,
neglect, poverty, physical conditions (in later life we are subject to many
inherited illnesses,) educational opportunities, rejection and ridicule.
We
build defenses; live with anger and sometimes revengeful attitudes or use
alcohol and drugs and gambling, know slavery to prostitution. the ease of
finding pornography on TV or everywhere, develop bad habits, e.g. lying,
cheating, stealing, unkindness, jealousies, even hatred;
become abusive to
others, mean spirited and impatient, all those kinds of things that so defeat
the human race.
The gift attached to the Novena of Divine Mercy is enormous, and is
offered to everyone who prays and listens to the Heavenly msgs. that call for
personal change and prayer for the salvation of the world, or who are familiar
with St. Faustina Kowalska's words from Jesus in Poland in the early 1930s.
We
are weak and spoiled and lazy, judgmental and critical due to the greater
influence and attacks of Satan and his demons in the world today.
This Novena also avails us of the opportunity to fulfill our Easter obligation
of Confession and receiving the Eucharist once a year! We learn to trust slowly,
but need trust in order to enable mercy
(Jesus tells Faustina) in our
dysfunctional (my word) lives. Also of great importance is that we influence the
decisions of others (for the good!) by our prayers said for them. And remember,
the Holy Spirit enables us to know God's Will for us, and helps us in our
weaknesses.
He spoke to our Sunday Prayer gathering recently... "Get to know Me.
You need Me, and I will be even more important to your future very soon in the
Father's Plan of Salvation for the world." Enjoy the fact that our God knows
everything we think and say and do, and how we interact with each other
worldwide.
Don't wait until next Good Friday to begin this Novena of Divine
Mercy Chaplets along with Jesus' special requests for each day, but for sure be
prepared to begin this journey into the forgiveness we sorely need for all the
punishment due our sins, even our forgiven ones, next year and Praise God for
His goodness and mercy beyond our imagining. Constant prayer defeats Satan.
The
way Satan defeats us is to stop our prayer!!
We are often responding to a conversion call in the midst of chaos, loss,
caught up in our own fabrications, hidden life, ego schemes. We find ourselves
in a pit, and suddenly yell our heads off for help.
All the grace and
conversion and renewal and spiritual progress is a result of God's Mercy and
Action in our lives; not our wonderfulness or saintly behavior. Jesus came to
heal the sick, the sinner.
He said: 'I did not come for the righteous who have
no need of a Savior.' To surrender totally to the Father's Perfect Will for us,
we must be emptied totally of the world, of our own will, and accept His plan,
His way of cleansing and transforming us:
renewing and reforming us into who He
created us to be: servant of God and the needy who come to our doorstep to share
the sorrow from loss in the lives of so many who have no idea what the Warning
they just experienced really was, thinking it's the end of the world. We are to
plead the Blood of Christ over all of them now who come to us then.
The more we
pray the Chaplet of Mercy, especially as a Novena, the better prepared we become
to be compassionate, patient, listening hearts, loaded with God's mercy with all
our time, energy and answers we will have from the Holy Spirit.
Get ready to
build up your Mercy Power. Whenever the need presents itself (note the terrible
floods and tornadoes and even out of season snowstorms!) that leaves behind
destruction and broken people, we are seriously called to be ready for anything.
Again, there is nothing we will be unable to do in the Father's plan to give His
mercy to everyone who will accept it. Praise God.

My children I love you. I gather your love into my Immaculate Heart. Joined with
my love, I present it to Jesus.
Dear children love one another with the love of God. Love one another as Jesus
loves you.
My dear children the enemy of salvation sows the seeds of discord and division,
of anger and hatred. You are called to sow the seeds of life and love.
Through
the gift of the Holy Spirit you are called to live lives of heroic virtue, Lives
that dispel the darkness of hell with the Light of God. Let love reign in your
hearts, your lives and your world.
