Troy McClure talks Selmainto illegally letting him pass his driver's license vision test in exchange for a dinner date. At the end of the evening, the two run into a group of paparatzzi, who snap their picture. When the photo is published in the next day's Springfield Shopper, it instantly erases McClure's image as a fish fetishist. His estranged agent, MacArther Rarker, renews contact and tells him that if he keeps dating, he can get work again. As McClure continues to see Selma, his popularity soars. To maintain his image, he proposes. Before the wedding McClure admits to Homer that he is only marrying Selma for the good publicity. Homer waits until after the wedding to tell Marge the truth about Selma's marraige. Marge and Patty confront Selma, but she doesn't want to beleive the news. Upon returning home, however, Selma asks Troy if their marraige is a sham. He immediately confesses, but convinces her that the marraige will be fun. Selma goes along with his plan until Troy tells her that they must have a child if his success is to continue. Selma decides not to bring a child into a loveless marraige and leaves with her iguana, Jub-Jub. |
