Two Bad Neighbors
Original airdate: (1-14-96)

At a rummage sale held by the Simpsons and their neighbors on Evergreen Terrace, Homer discovers a talent for hawking items. He draws a huge crowd. However, his sudden popularity is upstaged by former President George Bush and his wife, Barbara, who purchase a home across the street from the Simpsons.

Bart makes regular trips to the Bush home and becomes a totla nuisance to George, who takes an immediate dislike to him. One day, Bart accidentally engages an outboard motor in the Bush's garage, shredding George's typed memoirs. George puts Bart over his knee and spanks him, prompting Homer to confront his new neighbor. Each man vows to make trouble for the other.

Homer launches bottle rockets at the Bush's home and glues a rainbow wig to George's head. Georege retaliates by flying crudely rendered drawings of the Simpsons on a banner and chewing up their lawn with his car. The war comes to an end in a sewer beneath the street, where Homer and Bart unleash a locust swarm. Realizing that the neighborhood is bringing out the worst in George, Barbara tells Marge that they are selling the house.
