Bart's Inner Child

Homer buys a trampoline and, depite Marge's warnings about its danger, charges neighborhood kids a dollar each to use it. After numerous injuries, Homer tries to get rid of the trampoline. Eventually it is stolen.

Marge orders self-help videotape for herself and Homer that promises to change their relationship for the better. After watching it, they communicate better and their tensions ease. When the host of the tape, Brad Goodman, comes to Springfield, Marge and Homer decide that the whole family should attend his "Inner Child" seminar. Brad brings Bart on stage as an example of a child whose feelings are completely uninhibited. He recommends that everyone follow Bart's example.

Inspired, the people of Springfield let their repressed selves free. Realizing that his rebelliousness is no longer unique, Bart becomes depressed. At the "Do What You Feel Festival," events are out of control, and the townspeople blame Bart for the resulting disasters. turning into an unruly mob, they chase Bart but soon lose interest in him and run off to the mill to drink cider.
