Mr. Burns's birthday celebration is coming up. Depressed, all he really wants is his lost childhood Teddy bear, Bobo. Nvertheless, Smithers organizes the best party he can, inviting dignitaries and arranging for the Ramones to play "Happy Birthday." When Homer gives his employer a tasteless birthday roast, Burns orders storm troopers to beat him up. Bart goes to the Kwik-E-Mart to buy ice for Homer's injuries. In one of the bags of ice, he finds a stuffed bear and gives it to Maggie. When Homer learns that the bear is Bobo, he offers it to Burns for an exorbitant sum. Burns agrees on a settlement, but Homer realizes how attached Maggie is to the bear, and calls off the deal. Burns and Smithers try in vain to steal Bobo. Their attempt to turn all of Springfield against the Simpsons also fails. Finally, Burns gives up, sadly telling Maggie to keep the bear. Feeling sorry for Burns, Maggie gives Bobo back. |
