Today is day eight. It's hard to believe we have already been gone for over a week. The days have just been flying by. We are doing our best to get pictures and video of as much as we can. It is just happening far too fast for us to take it all in.

![]() After breakfast, we started out the morning with our third trip to the Civil Affairs Office. Upon arrival, we were presented with our official adoption certificate. Alyse is now legally ours and you can't imagine how proud that makes us. We now have six children and we love them all!!! God has truly blessed our family. From the Civil Affairs Office, we proceeded to the police station in order to start the necessary paperwork to get a passport for Alyse. Not quite sure why, but no picture taking or video allowed in the police station. And since we were not sure of the penalty, we were happy to comply! With all the formalities complete, we all (Angela, ourselves and the other three adoption families from All God's Children) boarded the bus and headed for the Mega Mall. Mega Mall is a Chinese variation of Wal-Mart/Target. The Mega Mall is located in a three-story basement under a huge office building/skyscraper. If you will remember back to being in Wal-Mart on Christmas Eve, and then multiply the number of people by a factor of two, you can get close to what we experienced. Have you ever seen rice in a 500 gallon see-through plexilass bin? What about whole dried fish, chicken, ducks and parrots? You would just have to be here to believe it! Well, enough for today. See you all soon!!
