Welcome! We are Doug and Heather Jenkins and we were married December 16, 2001. We have five children between the two of us (yours, mine and we started discussing ours).

Doug brought up the possibility of adopting a girl from China but after a couple of years we decided that our quiver was full....(So we thought!)....but God had other plans.

In the Summer of 2004. the Lord started dealing with me about adoption. I first started to have a strong desire to have a daughter, then everywhere we went I was surrounded by families with little "China dolls". I also went to a Steven Curtis Chapman concert not knowing he had adopted three little China dolls himself. God kept reminding me of the scripture: "I have commanded you to take care of the orphaned and the widowed (James 1:27 )". If that wasn't enough, out of the blue, Preston and Christopher repeatedly asked questions about China, and "why can't we adopt a baby."

So, January 5, 2005, we received our adoption packet from "All God's Children" Adoption Agency. We completed our paperwork and was logged into the China Center of Adoption Affairs (CCAA) on July 7, 2005.
