Notre Dame coach Kes Murphy started the following lineup: 5-8 So. Lacey Bradshaw, 5-8 So. Kylie Aytes, 5-9 So. Brynn Thelen, 5-8 So. Macie Feldman, and 5-8 Jr. Sarah Hicks. Butler coach Wyatt Foust countered with 5-10 Jr. Tiarra East, 5-8 Jr. Leslie Baxter, 6-1 So. Tamesha Dozier, 5-3 Jr. Chardrea Satori, and 5-7 Jr. Dyanstee White.
Notre Dame trailed 24-22 after three quarters but rallied in the final quarter to earn a 36-30 victory over Butler. The score was tied three times and there were nine lead changes in this game. Notre Dame shot 39.3% from the field including three of eight from the three point line. The Pandas connected on 11 of 15 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored nine points off 11 Butler turnovers. Butler shot 28.6% from the field including three of 18 from beyond the arc. The Bearettes connected on three of eight free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 17 Notre Dame turnovers.
Kylie Aytes led Notre Dame with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Brynn Thelen added 10 points including three three point baskets and four rebounds. Lacey Bradshaw recorded eight points, six rebounds, and two steals.
Dyanstee White led Butler with 10 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Tiarra East added nine points and four rebounds.
