Jomaru Brown.  Tennessee State University coach Brian “Penny” Collins countered with 6-7 Jr. Shakem Johnson, 6-6 So. Carlos Marshall Jr., 6-9 Sr. Jy’Lan Washington, 5-10 Fr. Mark Freeman, and 5-10 Sr. Michael Littlejohn.

 

Eastern Kentucky eked out a 92-88 victory over Tennessee State University.  The score was tied six times and there were nine lead changes in the game.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 47.6% from the field including 11 of 30 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 21 of 24 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 13 points off eight Tennessee State University turnovers.  Tennessee State University shot 47.1% from the field including seven of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Tigers connected on 15 of 23 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored five points off 10 Eastern Kentucky University turnovers.

 

Jomaru Brown led Eastern Kentucky University with 37 points including three three point baskets and 18 of 19 free throws, six rebounds, and four assists.  Michael Moreno added 15 points including three three point baskets, seven rebounds, and three assists.  Tre King and Ty Taylor each recorded eight points and six rebounds.

 

Carlos Marshall Jr. led Tennessee State University with 22 points, five rebounds, and five assists.  Jy’Lan Washington added 18 points including two three point baskets and eight rebounds.  Michael Littlejohn recorded 18 points including four three point baskets and four rebounds.  Shakem Johnson added 13 points and nine rebounds.  6-9 Jr. Ben Kone chipped in with nine points and six rebounds.

Eastern Kentucky University trailed 41-39 after three quarters but outscored Tennessee State University 22-14 in the final quarter to earn a 61-55 victory.  The score was tied eight times with 14 lead changes.  Eastern Kentucky shot 39.6% from the field including five of 16 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 14 of 19 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored eight points off 13 Tennessee State University turnovers.  Tennessee State shot 38.3% from the field including five of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Tigers connected on four of eight free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 19 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

 

Teri Goodlett led Eastern Kentucky with 15 points including two three point baskets, five of six free throws, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  I’Liyah Green added 13 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots.  Samari Mowbray recorded 13 points including three three point baskets and four rebounds.  5-11 Jr. Bria Bass chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds.

Ella Thompson led Bethlehem with 25 points including eight of 10 from the field including one of one from beyond the arc, and eight of eight free throws, five rebounds, and four steals.  Amelia Hodges added 21 points including six of seven free throws.  Kasey Spalding recorded six points and nine rebounds.  Mikiah Livers-Bryant chipped in with five points, eight rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals.

Simon Kenton defeated Assumption by the score of 64-58.  Simon Kenton shot 38.7% from the field including three of 23 from the three point line.  The Lady Pioneers connected on 13 of 25 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 18 Assumption turnovers.  Assumption shot 49% from the field including two of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Rockets connected on eight of 15 from the free throw line, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored nine points off 15 Simon Kenton turnovers.

 

Morgan Stamper led Simon Kenton with 18 points, 12 rebounds, and two steals.  Maggi Jones added 18 points including two three point baskets.  Sereniti Webb recorded 14 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.  Mattie Vickers chipped in with 10 points, seven rebounds, and four steals.  Kady Schawe dished out seven assists.

 

Megan Willinghurst led Assumption with 18 points and five rebounds.  Jacqueline Racque added 12 points and four rebounds.  Payton Cronen recorded 11 points.  Reese Sexton chipped in with nine points, four rebounds, and two assists.  Madalynn Nalley added seven points, five rebounds, and four assists.
