Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Marques Warrick, 6-1 Sr. Sebian Dillard, 6-6 Sr. Jackson Phillips, 5-7 Sr. Terron Hughes, and 6-0 Sr. Marquis Mackey.  Bryan Station coach Nimbo Hammons countered with 6-4 So. Cedric Poindexter, 6-0 Jr. Trent Grundy, 6-4 Sr. Crishawn Yocum, 5-10 Sr. James Lindsay, and 6-0 Jr. Myles Morones.

 

Henry Clay eked out a 56-55 victory over Bryan Station in a typical hard fought inter-Lexington city basketball war.  Bryan Station led 44-41 after three quarters but Henry Clay rallied for the win.  There were eight ties and seven lead changes in the game.  Henry Clay shot 42.2% from the field including eight of 21 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 10 Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 47.7% from the field including seven of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Defenders connected on six of 13 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored four points off five Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Marques Warrick led Henry Clay with 17 points including two three point baskets, five of five free throws, three rebounds, and five assists.  Marquis Mackey added 13 points, three rebounds, and two assists.  Sebian Dillard recorded 11 points including three three point baskets and two blocked shots.  5-10 Jr. Kanye Henderson added 11 points including three three point baskets.

 

James Lindsay led Bryan Station with 18 points, eight rebounds, and two assists.  Trent Grundy added 15 points including three three point baskets.  Crishawn Yocum recorded five points and nine rebounds.  Cedric Poindexter added 10 points.
