Lincoln County coach Cassandra McWhorter started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Zaria Napier, 5-10 So. Trinity Shearer, 6-0 Jr. Kaitlynn Wilks, 5-5 Jr. Maddy Boyle, and 5-11 Jr. Emma King. Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 5-7 Jr. Taleya Todd, 5-7 Sr. Blaze Pacheco, 5-10 So. Je’Kauri McKeithen, 5-5 Sr. Bailey Vanover, and 5-7 Sr. Eliza Minter. (Madison Barnard is out today with a hand injury).
The inside-outside duo of Kaitlynn Wilks and Emma King proved to be too much for Madison Central today as the duo combined for 45 points and 14 rebounds in a 72-33 victory. Lincoln County shot 46.9% from the filed including eight of 21 from the three point line. The Patriots connected on four of 11 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 21 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 27.7% from the field including three of 11 from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on four of nine free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 11 points off eight Lincoln County turnovers.
Emma King led Lincoln County with 29 points including seven three point baskets. Kaitlynn Wilks added 16 points, 12 rebounds, three blocked shots, and three steals. Maddy Boyle recorded nine points and seven assists. Trinity Shearer chipped in with four points, nine rebounds, and eight assists. Zaria Napier added six points and 10 rebounds.
Taleya Todd led Madison Central with nine points before leaving the game with an injury. Je’Kauri McKeithen added seven points and 10 rebounds. Blaze Pacheco recorded seven points and five rebounds. Bailey Vanover also scored seven points.
