Hazard defeated Clay County by a score of 61-53. Hazard shot 52% from the field including one of six from the three point line. The Lady Bulldogs connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and committed six turnovers. Clay County shot 46.3% from the field including 12 of 24 from beyond the arc. The Lady Tigers connected on three of seven free throws, pulled down 15 rebounds, and committed 13 turnovers.
5-7 Sr. Destiny Walker led Hazard with 17 points. 5-11 Sr. Haley Turner added 15 points and 11 rebounds. 5-8 Fr. Haley Caudill chipped in with 12 points. 5-10 Sr. Olivia Holland recorded 11 points and six rebounds.
5-9 So. Kaylee Mathis led Clay County with 17 points including four three point baskets, six rebounds, and four assists. 5-6 Jr. Shelby Phillips also scored 17 points including five three point baskets. 5-6 Jr. Kimberlyn Mills recorded 11 points including three three point baskets. 5-4 Fr. Taylor Asher chipped in with eight points and four assists.
