Madison Southern coach Summer Simmons started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Sarah Smith, 5-9 Fr. Briana Lanham, 5-10 Sr. Hayden Westfall, 5-4 So. Kelley Freeman, and 5-6 So. Samantha Parms. Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 6-2 Sr. Ashton Feldhaus, 5-9 Sr. Heather Hinkle, 6-2 Jr. Shadae Bosley, 5-5 Jr. Bailey O’Bryan, and 5-5 Sr. Larryn Brooks.
Madison Central led 14-13 after the first quarter but rapidly pulled away for a 69-30 victory over Madison Southern. Madison Central shot 55.1% from the field including six of 15 from the three point line. The Indians connected on nine of 18 from the free throw line, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 24 Madison Southern turnovers. Madison Southern shot 25.6% from the field including six of 22 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on four of eight free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored seven points off nine Madison Central turnovers.
Larryn Brooks led Madison Central with 24 points including four three point baskets, six assists, and four steals. Ashton Feldhaus added 21 points including two three point baskets and seven rebounds. Shadae Bosley recorded six points, seven rebounds, and four blocked shots.
Samantha Parms led Madison Southern with 13 points including three three point baskets and four rebounds. Briana Lanham added eight points and nine rebounds.
