Marion County defeated Mercy Academy by a score of 64-46.  Marion County shot 52% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on eight of 16 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 22 Mercy Academy turnovers.  Mercy Academy shot 29.5% from the field including four of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on 16 of 20 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 19 Marion County turnovers.

Patrice Tonge led Marion County with 22 points.  Kyvin Goodin-Rogers added 14 points, eight rebounds, and five steals.  Makayla Epps chipped in with 12 points and five steals.  Logan Powell pulled down nine rebounds.

Erin Muthler led Mercy Academy with 12 points.  Morgan Doherty added seven points and six rebounds.  Whitney Hartlage and Malerie Martin chipped in with six points each.

Southwestern defeated Danville 63-58 in overtime today.  Danville led 27-23 at halftime but Southwestern rallied to take a 45-41 lead after three quarters.  Danville managed to tie the game at 51-51 and Southwestern had the ball and a timeout with 13 seconds left in the game.  Southwestern did not get a shot off and the game went to overtime.  Danville took an early 55-52 lead in the overtime period but Southwestern tied the score and then took a 58-55 lead on three point baskets by Destiny Molden and Brittany Combs.  Southwestern held on down the stretch to earn a hard fought  victory.

5-7 So. Brittany Combs and 5-5 So. Destiny Molden led a balanced Southwestern attack with 12 points each.  5-9 So. Adison Corder and 6-1 Fr. Elisabeth Latham each recorded 11 points.  5-11 So. Dylana Fothergill and 5-11 Fr. Samantha Fitzgerald chipped in with nine and eight points respectively.

5-5 Jr. Essence Grey led Danville with 21 points.  5-11 Sr. Kasey Young added 16 points and 5-6 Jr. Laken Grey chipped in with 10 points.

Clay County defeated a cold-shooting South Laurel team by a score of 54-36.  Clay County was 13 of 24 from 2-pt range and three of seven from the three point line.  The Lady Tigers connected on 19 of 26 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and committed 15 turnovers.  South Laurel was eight of 31 from 2-pt range and one of six from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 17 of 24 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and committed 10 turnovers.

5-11 Sr. Cheyenne Madden led Clay County with 16 points and seven rebounds.  5-11 Sr. Morgan Chesnut added 14 points and four rebounds.  5-5 So. Ajaycia Cotton chipped in with 12 points.

Scott County defeated Eastern by a score of 46-41.  Scott County trailed 33-31 after three quarters but outscored Eastern 15-8 in the final quarter.  Scott County shot 39.5% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on eight of 13 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 15 Eastern turnovers.  Eastern shot 32% from the field including three of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on six of eight free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored four points off seven Scott County turnovers. 

Quin Richardson led Scott County with 19 points including three three point baskets.  Deonte Doss added eight points.  Trent Gilbert recorded five points, eight rebounds, and five steals.
