Frederick Douglass coach Jason Moseley started the following lineup: 6-7 Jr. Tyson Barrett, 6-0 Jr. Tylon Webb, 6-7 Sr. Shemar O’Roy-Ford, 5-5 Fr. Armelo Boone, and 5-10 Fr. Aveion Chenault.  Lexington Christian Academy coach Ted Hall countered with 6-1 Sr. Jeffrey Selby, 6-1 Fr. Andersen Green, 6-3 Jr. Tyler Hall, 5-8 Fr. Saxton Howard, and 6-0 So. Brayden Mirus.

 

Lexington Christian outscored Frederick Douglass 12-2 in overtime to earn a 70-60 victory.  The score was tied seven times and there were nine lead changes in the game.  LCA shot 54.5% from the field including six of 17 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on 16 of 22 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 15 Frederick Douglass turnovers.  Frederick Douglass shot 31.8% from the field including seven of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Broncos connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 18 LCA turnovers. 

 

Jeffrey Selby led LCA with 19 points including three of three free throws and eight rebounds.  Andersen Green added 15 points including two three point baskets, three of four free throws, and three rebounds.  Brayden Mirus recorded 13 points including four of six free throws, six rebounds, and three assists.  Saxton Howard chipped in with 11 points including two three point baskets, three of four free throws, two rebounds, and two steals. 

 

Tyson Barrett led Frederick Douglass with 15 points and eight rebounds.  Tylon Webb added 13 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, and two steals.  6-3 Jr. Thomas Howard recorded 11 points including three of four free throws.  5-11 Jr. Kai Simpson chipped in with seven points, three rebounds, and five assists.
