Eastern Kentucky University coach Chrissy Roberts started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Bria Bass, 5-10 Fr. Hailey McCoy, 5-11 Sr. Abby Wright, 5-6 So. Teri Goodlett, and 5-8 Jr. Shay Solomon. Miami (OH) coach Megan Duffy countered with 6-2 Sr. Kendall McCoy, 5-10 Sr. Baleigh Reid, 6-2 Jr. Savannah Kluesner, 5-3 Jr. Lauren Dickerson, and 5-6 Sr. Leah Purvis.
Miami (OH) defeated a short-handed Eastern Kentucky squad by a score of 60-44. EKU are currently without the services of 6-0 Jr. Catie Kaifes and 6-2 Sr. Madison Pierce due to injuries. Eastern Kentucky trailed 42-40 entering the final quarter but Miami (OH) started the final quarter with a 15-0 run to take control of the game. Miami (OH) shot 36.8% from the field including three of 15 from the three point line. They connected on seven of 11 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 20 Eastern Kentucky turnovers. Eastern Kentucky shot 33.3% from the field including two of 19 from beyond the arc. The Colonels connected on six of seven free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored four points off 13 Miami (OH) turnovers.
Lauren Dickerson led Miami (OH) with 19 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals. 6-0 Jr. Abbey Hoff added 11 points and 6-2 Sr. Kristen Levering recorded eight points and seven rebounds. Savannah Kluesner and Leah Purvis pulled down nine and six rebounds respectively.
Abby Wright led Eastern Kentucky with 18 points and four rebounds. Teri Goodlett added 12 points including two three point baskets and five rebounds. Shay Solomon recorded 11 points and six rebounds. Bria Bass pulled down seven rebounds.
