Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir started the following lineup:  5-11 So. Grace Berger, 5-7 So. Kia Sivils, 5-10 Sr. Lydia Taylor, 5-4 Fr. Ashlee Harris, and 5-5 So. KiKi Samsel.  Mercy Academy coach Keith Baisch countered with 5-9 Jr. Josie Woods, 5-9 Fr. Raquael Reese, 6-2 So. Danielle Feldman, 5-3 Sr. Jessica Laemmle, and 5-7 Sr. Madi Woods.

 

Mercy Academy defeated Sacred Heart Academy 62-58 in overtime.  Mercy raced out to a 17-7 first quarter lead but Sacred Heart gradually fought back to force overtime.  Mercy shot 40.3% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line.  The Jaguars connected on 16 of 22 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 18 Sacred Heart turnovers.  Sacred Heart shot 44.4% from the field including four of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Valkyries connected on 14 of 21 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored seven points off 17 Mercy turnovers.

 

Danielle Feldkamp led Mercy Academy with 17 points, five rebounds, and two steals.  Madi Woods added 14 points including two three point baskets.  Jessica Laemmle chipped in with 10 points.  6-0 Camryn Muss pulled down seven rebounds. 

 

Grace Berger led Sacred Heart Academy with 19 points, six rebounds, and three assists.  Kiki Samsel also scored 19 points including three three point baskets.  Ashlee Harris recorded eight points, five rebounds, and three steals.  Kia Sivils chipped in with six points, six rebounds, and four steals.
