Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman started the following lineup: 6-5 So. Zan Payne, 6-3 So. TC Price, 6-6 Jr. Peter Whitman, 5-11 Sr. Donovan Morris, and 6-4 Jr. Luke Johnson. Lexington Christian Academy coach Nate Valentine countered with 6-4 Sr. Justin DeMoss, 6-5 Fr. Kyle Rode, 6-6 Jr. Tre King, 6-0 Sr. Justin Iler, and 6-2 Sr. Trevor Hill.
Lexington Catholic defeated Lexington Christian Academy by a score of 66-50. Lexington Catholic shot 45.6% from the field including five of 18 from the three point line. The Knights connected on nine of 10 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 11 Lexington Christian Academy turnovers. LCA shot 34.7% from the field including four of 20 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on 12 of 19 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored two points off three Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Donovan Morris led Lexington catholic with 21 points including four three point baskets and four assists. Zan Payne added 20 points and nine rebounds. Luke Johnson recorded eight points, four rebounds, 13 assists, and four steals. TC Price chipped in with seven points and five rebounds.
6-5 So. Carter Hendrickson led LCA with 17 points including three three point baskets and five rebounds. Tre King added 14 points and 12 rebounds. Kyle Rode recorded 12 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots.
