Woodford County coach Jay Lucas started the following lineup: 5-7 8th Grade Abby Moffett, 5-5 Sr. Erica Hysell, 5-11 8th Grade Delaney Enlow, 5-4 So. Peyton Rose, and 5-8 Sr. Caitlin Ferguson.  Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford countered with 5-9 Sr. Jordyn Jackson, 5-7 Fr. Kiya Thompson, 5-10 Sr. Nakeisha Green, 5-4 So. Alexis Lutz, and 5-6 Sr. T’Laya Lyvers.

 

Henry Clay raced out to a 22-3 first quarter lead on their way to a 62-27 victory over Woodford County.  Henry Clay attempted 37 more shots (63-26) from the field than Woodford County.  Henry Clay shot 34.9% from the field including seven of 15 from the three point line.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 23 Woodford County turnovers.  Woodford County shot 30.8% from the field including three of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Yellow Jackets connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored two points off five Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Kiya Thompson led Henry Clay with 19 points including five three point baskets in only 14 minutes of playing time.  Jordyn Jackson added 10 points and 12 rebounds.  T’Laya Lyvers chipped in with eight points and four steals.  5-8 So. Braxton Price recorded seven points and seven rebounds.

 

Caitlin Ferguson led Woodford County with 10 points including two three point baskets.  Delaney Enlow added four points and six rebounds.
