Scott County coach Billy Hicks started the following lineup: 6-5 Fr. Michael Moreno, 6-1 So. Cooper Robb, 6-4 Jr. Cooper Watts, 5-8 Fr. Cam Fluker, and 6-1 Fr. Bryce Long. Bryan Station coach Tommy Johnson countered with 6-2 Sr. Tim Dunn, 6-3 Jr. David DeMarcus, 6-5 Sr. Deandre Dishman, 6-0 Sr. Andre Davis, and 6-1 So. Terrance Murphy.
Bryan Station led 30-16 in the second quarter and held on down the stretch to register a 65-62 upset victory over Scott County. Bryan Station registered six three point baskets in the first half and finished up with nine treys for the game. Bryan Station shot 58.5% from the field including nine of 15 from the three point line. The Defenders connected on eight of 13 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 10 points off seven Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 38.8% from the field including five of 24 from beyond the arc. The Cardinals connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 18 Bryan Station turnovers.
Tim Dunn led Bryan Station with 20 points including three three point baskets and seven rebounds. Deandre Dishman and 5-7 Sr. Rafael Few each scored 11 points. David DeMarcus added 10 points and five rebounds. Terrance Murphy recorded seven points, four rebounds, and three assists.
Michael Moreno led Scott County with 21 points and nine rebounds. Bryce Long added 17 points including three three point baskets. Cooper Robb recorded 10 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.
