Bryan Station coach Tommy Johnson started the following lineup: 6-3 Jr. David DeMarcus, 6-2 Sr. Tim Dunn, 6-5 Sr. Andre Dishman, 6-1 So. Terrance Murphy, and 6-0 Sr. Andre Davis. Taylor County coach Richard Gatewood countered with 6-4 Sr. Devin Rafferty, 6-4 Sr. Quentin Goodin, 6-6 Sr. Jarrod Rogers, 6-0 Jr. David Sloan, and 6-0 Jr. Ezra Oliver.
Taylor County trailed after three quarters by a score of 40-33 but rallied for a 59-52 victory over Bryan Station. The score was tied three times and there were five lead changes in this game. Taylor County shot 36.8% from the field including one of 10 from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on 16 of 24 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 18 Bryan Station turnovers. Bryan Station shot 45.5% from the field including four of 17 from beyond the arc. The Defenders connected on eight of 21 from the three point line, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored eight points off 13 Taylor County turnovers.
David Sloan led Taylor County with 23 points and six rebounds. Quentin Goodin added 22 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists. 6-7 Jr. Dylan Gaines recorded 10 points and nine rebounds.
Deandre Dishman led Bryan Station with 14 points and six rebounds. David DeMarcus added 13 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, and four steals. Andre Davis chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds. Terrance Murphy recorded nine points, three rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
