Sacred Heart coach Donna Moir started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. April Gahafer, 5-6 Sr. Raven Merriweather, 5-11 So. Maggie Colley, 5-4 Jr. Ashley Johnson, and 5-4 Jr. Gretchen Samsel.  Highlands coach Jaime W. Richey countered with 5-8 Jr. Lydia Graves, 5-7 Jr. Alex Combs, 5-10 So. McKenzie Leigh, 5-4 So. Haley Coffey, and 5-6 So. Brianna Adler.

Sacred Heart defeated Highlands tonight by a score of 59-51.  Sacred Heart shot 43.2% from the field including nine of 19 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on 12 of 14 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 26 Highlands turnovers.  Highlands shot 41.2% from the field including six of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Bluebirds connected on 17 of 24 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 19 Sacred Heart turnovers.

Ashley Johnson led Sacred Heart with 18 points including three three point baskets and five steals.  Raven Merriweather added 17 points and five steals.

Alex Combs led Highlands with 15 points, seven rebounds, and four steals.  Haley Coffey added 14 points and Brianna Adler chipped in with 11 points.

Highlands      12  19  16   4 – 51
