Lafayette coach Allison Denton started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. Sarah Cooley. 5-11 So. Dee Givens, 6-4 So. Ashanti Thomas, 5-6 Jr. Megumi Nagahiro, and 5-6 Jr. Ken’yale Demus.  Western Hills coach Don Irvine countered with 5-6 Fr. LaKenzie Ritchie, 5-6 Jr. Becca Harrod, 5-10 Fr. Taylor Slade, 5-2 Jr. Stephine Sparkman, and 5-5 Jr. Aja Leachman.

Lafayette defeated Western Hills by a score of 53-31.  Lafayette shot 48.9% from the field including three of eight from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on four of 14 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 16 Western Hills turnovers.  Western Hills shot 22.7% from the field including four of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Wolverines connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored two points off 14 Lafayette turnovers.

Dee Givens led Lafayette with 18 points including three three point baskets.  Ashanti Thomas added 13 points, seven rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Sarah Cooley recorded nine points and 14 rebounds.

Stephine Sparkman led Western Hills with 10 points including two three point baskets and six rebounds.  Taylor Slade added seven points and six rebounds.

Western Hills   11  10   2    8 – 31
