Scott coach Rhonda Klette started the following lineup: 5-7 7th grade Alexis Stapleton, 5-7 So. Jenna Trimpe, 5-10 Jr. Jill Buntin, 5-6 Sr. Landon Brefeld, and 5-7 7th grade Allyson Niece.  Lexington Catholic coach Scott True countered with 5-8 So. Rachel Blake, 5-8 Sr. Octavia Wilson, 5-9 So. Caroline Lynch, 5-4 Sr. Sara Cawood, and 5-4 So. Bailey Browning.

Scott defeated Lexington Catholic tonight by a score of 49-46 in a game that had more twists and turns than a mystery novel.  Scott got out of the gate fast and led Lexington Catholic 20-14 at the end of the first quarter.  Lexington Catholic rallied to take a 30-26 lead at halftime.  Lexington Catholic continued to build on their lead to take a 46-32 lead on a field goal by Caroline Lynch with 6:48 left in the game.  Lexington Catholic then went stone cold from the field and Scott finished the game on a 17-0 run to earn the victory.  The Lady Eagles finally took the lead at 48-46 on field goal by Holly Kallmeyer with 1:05 left in the game.

Scott shot 50% from the field including four of 10 from the three point line.  The Lady Eagles connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 16 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 28.6% from the field including four of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Knights connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 28 Scott turnovers.  Lexington Catholic attempted 20 more shots (56-36) from the field than Scott.

Alexis Stapleton led Scott with 11 points and six rebounds.  Allyson Niece added 10 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.  Jill Buntin chipped in with seven points.  5-8 Fr. Holly Kallmeyer recorded six points and five rebounds.

5-5 Jr. Suzanne Miller led Lexington Catholic with 16 points.  Miller was six of eight from the field including two of two from beyond the arc, and two of two from the free throw line.  Octavia Wilson added 12 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and five steals.  5-8 Fr. Sarah Bonn chipped in with nine points and Caroline Lynch pulled down six rebounds.
