(We’re in the middle of Jess’ scream as bullets make their way through the air. Kevin catches her around the shoulders to yank her down out of harm’s way. Kevin’s eyes peek through the disarray and he sees the hole ripped in the ceiling of the elevator and notices the wires leading up. Finally, in quick decision, he sweeps Jess into his arms and grabs the wires. A shot rings through the air that snaps the wires and the two hold onto each other as the wires release and fly upwards. In the next cut, we are on the top floor when the elevator doors open, revealing Kevin and Jess. Both open their eyes and slowly leave the elevator, by swinging out to leap on the floor)
Kevin: (lets go of Jess to press his hand to his head) I really need to sit down… really… need… to… (Kevin is about to pass out when Jess catches him around the waist)
Jess: Kevin, you need to breathe.
Kevin: (breathes) Yeah…
Jess: Okay. Are you okay now? (gazing up into his face in concern) Kevin?
Kevin: (staring into Jess’ eyes with a growing admiration) Jess?
Jess: Yeah. (breathing heavily)
Kevin: You…
(The double doors of the large office behind them, open and Kevin and Jess spin around at the same time to see that there is a swivel chair behind a REALLY large desk which is turned around. We see from the couple’s view, a stretch bay window behind the chair which over looks the roof of the building)
Jess: (looks to Kevin before returning her gaze to the chair) Edward?
(The chair swivels around and we see the figure’s feet in high black boots, this pans up to the face of Brian, hidden by a pair of dark shades. He is wearing a gray suit and tie and there is a smirk on his face)
Brian: (leans forward in the chair and lowers his shades) Hey… glad you two could make it.
Jess: (points at Brian with a look of awe on her face) You’re BRIAN!
Brian: (does a once over with his eyes of Jess) Jess?
Jess: (shivers) And you’re evil. (turns to Kevin) I never thought he could pull that off.
Kevin: (stressed) What the hell do we do? (shakes his head) He died a year ago…
Jess: No he didn’t…
Brian: (laughs) I don’t feel dead. Look, I’m a very impatient man, I’ve got a lot of business to attend to so pass it over.
Jess: What?
Brian: The key.
Jess: We don’t have it.
(Brian stands and leans on the desk)
Brian: You know where it is. I just have to suck it out of you, don’t I, Jess?
Kevin: You’ll leave her alone, man!
(Brian turns the evil eye on Kevin and thrusts his hands out to toss Kevin out of the office to brutally hit the floor. He gasps and turns on his side. Jess stares at Brian, than races out, pulling Kevin to his feet on her way)
Jess: Come on! We have to go, we have to go!
(Kevin struggles up and they run, but the elevator opens and they are confronted by Edward… again. Sorry, gotta get onto the next scene, but you’ll be okay for now, right?)
