Allowing his allies a free hand in disposing of the Genuans, Brother Jhake ordered his elephants into Ushistan - which is within spitting distance of Muntab so that the Klatchian camel regiment were able to help - and chased the Muntab army away into Klatchistan. An exploratory prod at the Theocrat's sacred fleet in Brindisi was made, but easily rebuffed.
However, the towelheads completed the job properly in Autumn Secundus, with a little help from the Agatean fleet in the Gulf of Brindisi. Brother Jhake decided that the income from the "Genuan Muntabian" matches had been so profitable that he reduced the Theocrat's last fleet to similar splinters. Armour from the Muntab legion that had been in Klatchistan and found themselves with nowhere to run was beaten into natty little boxes to contain the matchsticks.
In an interesting, perplexing move, the Agateans shifted from Momerathia to Yaphinga-Yaphoul and simply used the province as a sparring ground. After some practice bouts, the two legions returned to Apinkieyabarmpot (which army found the Muntabians trying to redecorate their fort and chased them back out) and the Vieux Plains (there to investigate rumours of mysterious shattering mirrors on the riverboats of the Vieux).
The Backspindlewinter recruitment season found the Duc with enough resources to build an army but nowhere to recruit. In Klatch, Brother Jhake gathered enough men to create two regiments and used a random-transport spell, primed for his capital cities, to send half to Al-Khali and half to Re'Durat.
