Settling in comfortably to his new acquisition, in the Spring Prime the Emperor of Agatea shifted his fleets to use the widdershins coasts of XXXX as staging grounds against all comers. The lone Muntab fleet, perhaps sensing this, tried to vacate the Rimwards Widdershins Ocean for the Gulf of Brindisi, but was foiled by an Agatean fleet planning to isolate it. That clash had repercussions in all nearby oceans turnwise, as Agateans fleets shuffled but didn't move. The Emperor ordered another of his trademark convoys and shifted one of his new armies from Sum Dim to Cutangelsk, whilst the home guard moved to Bes Pelargic, presumably in preparations for another convoy. On the continent, Agatean forces continued to harry the Genuans, taking Koom Valley and Kythia from the Duc; however, and attempt to sidle into the Vieux Plains behind a retreating Genuan army was foiled by another of the Duc's forces moving in from Borogravia. Neither got it, and the Vieux Plains breathed a sigh of relief.
Meantime, the Duc had some success in ousting towelheads out of Lancre, where they had been learning the art of Getting The Nostrils Really Clean from Shawn Ogg. Surprised by the flatlanders, the Klatchians hightailed it to Chimera. Despite losing Kythia, Genuans managed to keep the Agateans from getting any closer to the Diamond City, holding a rearguard action in the Vieux Plains.
The Klatchians morris-dancing out of Lancre were able to find refuge in Chimera because the fleet stationed there had just moved out into the Hubwards Turnwise Ocean. Brother Jhake shifted his new Home Guard from the Rhoxie to Istanzia, whilst shuffling his armies around Ephebe and Vanglemesh -- booting out the Muntabians from Vanglemesh back to Muntab. On the rimwards coast, his fleets were uncommonly successful, making kindling out of the Muntab fleet in S'Belinde, but the Theocracy's fleet in Ghat continued to confound the camels of the sea in the Gulf of Tezuma. This was because whilst the attack was with support, so was the defence -- but all support had been distracted by the melee occurring at all points in the area.
In Autumn Secundus Klatch had apparently given up trying to take the Port of Ghat, and went at the province from the other direction, attacking from Tezuma. This was about as successful as the previous attempts, with the Muntab Home Guard helping the beleaguered fleet. In a concerted attack from Vanglemesh and Betrek, Brother Jhake chased Muntabians out of Ushistan into Klatchistan, drawing that army away from its intended support of the Genuan Borogravian garrison. The whole of the Klatchian military did a general dance turnwise (except for a fleet which called in at the Brown Islands to check on rumours of Amazonian lost tribes). With some help from Agatean forces, Klatch regained Lancre, scattering the Genuans. The towel-heads were said to be eager to return to tutelage under Guru Shawn Ogg.
The Duc managed to keep Uberwald out of the hands of the Emperor, but lost Rammerock when an Agatean force slipped in behind departing Duc-men. In a superb example of his trademark convoy, the Emperor of the Counterweight Continent sent troops from Bes Pelargic to Cutangelsk, to replace the men shipped from there to the Blade Mountains. This manouevre completed a line of Agatean provinces from Wyrmberg to Kythia -- or, counting the oceans, from the BeTrobi Islands to the Rimwards Widdershins Ocean (abandoned by the Theocracy for the more familiar environs of the Gulf of Brindisi).
In Backspindlewinter the sounds of fireworks were heard all across the Disk as Agateans scared off the invisible vampire ghosts known to infest the continent, and to celebrate the conscription of yet another army in Sum Dim. Having transferred the last recruitment of the Home Guard to the other side of the Circle Sea, the call was put out for all able-bodied camels to gather in Al Khali for formation of a new legion.
