This site started in early March, 2000. The page I first put up was...pretty bad. I had image links for the game logos and a few sections up. Then I realized that I needed help with my crappy site to really get things going. So, I asked my best friends if they wanted to join (Poo and Ness), and they accepted.

Pretty soon, Poo and I (who had been doing the majority of the work) had the site going in a positive direction. Poo put frames on the site, and things were looking better than ever. I added a guestbook and a counter, but...we had no traffic.

Our first glimpse at popularity was seen in the links section of starmen.net. That was back in the day, when each site was given a rating out of ten. Our site had gotten a 3. I was happy, but a little concerned. Who would want to go to a site labeled as "crap"?

A little while after that somebody signed the guestbook. I emailed that person because i had to make sure it wasn't fake. The kid that signed the gb was ten. But hey, it was a start.

Then there was silence. I had to promote the site somehow...but what could I do? I took a break from the site for about 3 months, and so did Poo. I almost didn't want to come back. Yhe site had tons of potential, except I just didn't know what to do with it.

Needless to say, we came back to the site. Poo got the StatsForAll thing which is detailed info on the visitors. All of a sudden I began getting emails from major search engines saying that the site has been added to them (google.com, yahoo.com, etc.) without me even submitting the site. Then visitors that came to the site from search engines, and all of a sudden, I was offered to do bigger and better things (be a staffer on esperonline.com).

Jeff's RPG Page was site of the month on a few sites, and guestbook signatures were a lot more frequent. The message board has been quite a rollercoaster ride, but has been pretty busy. We have also added Chrono Cross and Final Fantasy 9, and we have a lot of content for each game. By the way, all the emails I have gotten and all the guestbook signatures have been positive comments about the site.

Even though it's been a while since the site first started out, and the site is near-completion, I feel as though it's only the beginning. (6/12/01)

I really hope that you enjoy my page at least a little bit. I've tried very hard to make a good page for RPGers like me.
