Pineville coach Brad Levy started the following lineup: 6-2 So. Eli Thompson, 6-0 Jr. Keean Fuson, 6-3 Jr. Sean Phipps, 5-8 Sr. Dalton Mason, and 5-10 Sr. Clay Goodin. Berea coach Eric Swords countered with 6-4 Jr. Jaylen Dorsey, 5-11 So. Kobe Combs, 6-3 Jr. Jayden Smith, 5-8 Sr. Timmy Thompson, and 5-10 Jr. Nick Harrison.
Pineville defeated Berea by a score of 78-73. The score was tied three times and there were five lead changes. Pineville shot 48.2% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line. The Mountain Lions connected on 19 of 25 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 20 Berea turnovers. Berea shot 37.9% from the field including seven of 25 from beyond the arc. They connected on 22 of 33 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 19 Pineville turnovers.
Sean Phipps led Pineville with 35 points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots. Dalton Mason added 16 points including seven of nine free throws, four assists, and four steals. 5-10 Fr. Ian Middleton recorded 11 points including six of eight free throws and seven rebounds.
Jaylen Dorsey led Berea with 38 points including three three point baskets, 13 of 20 free throws, five rebounds, and three assists. Jayden Smith added 18 points including seven of seven free throws, nine rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots.
