Frederick Douglass coach Shawn Ransom started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Kennedy Mack, 5-6 Sr. Ashanti Hollingsworth, 5-9 So. Allison Wallace, 5-5 Jr. Kourtesy Lee, and 5-5 So. Bradley Price. Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 6-0 Jr. Kenady Tompkins, 5-6 Jr. Kennon Owens, 6-3 Sr. Malea Williams, 5-5 Sr. Morgan DeFoor, and 5-6 So. Emma Price.
Scott County raced out to a 31-14 first quarter lead on their way to a 91-39 victory over Frederick Douglass. Scott County shot 53.8% from the field including 13 of 29 from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on eight of 13 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 21 Frederick Douglass turnovers. Frederick Douglass shot 29.2% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc. The Broncos connected on seven of 18 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored eight points off 16 Scott County turnovers.
Malea Williams led Scott County with 20 points, six rebounds, and three blocked shots. Emma Price added 17 points including five three point baskets. Morgan DeFoor recorded 15 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, six assists, and three steals. Kenady Tompkins chipped in with 13 points and four rebounds. Kennon Owens added 12 points and seven assists.
Kourtesy Lee led Frederick Douglass with 14 points including three three point baskets. Kennedy Mack added eight points and five rebounds.
