Looking back, and reflecting on what's going on in today's world, it doesn't seem that we've learned much from the past. The only thing that seems to have gone forward instead of backwards is technology. Our curiosity to figure out how things work, how to make things better, faster, more efficient, cheaper, easier, bigger, etc., has and always will be the seeds of technology.

There will always be invaders and conquerers. And the people and cultures who are conquered will suffer.

Many species will go the way of the Dodo Bird since humans continue to hunt and usurp their lands.

One lesson that humans MUST learn - to quote Mark Harris' song, "One True God":

Kingdoms rise and fall
But even through it all
He remains the One True God.

Throughout the changes of time, there is only one constant, non-changing entity and that's God.
