Overview: The year 2000 came and went without the Y2K crisis occurring and Armageddon didn't start. Technology is booming beyond our wildest dreams. World events are televised instantly.

September 11, 2001 - A new day that will live in infamy. Toted as a disaster worse than Pearl Harbor, with over 3000 fatalities - terrorists high-jacked airliners crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Washington, DC and in rural Western Pennsylvania. The latter was presumed to be headed for either the Capitol Building or The White House.

In an extremely well-planned plot against America, the terrorist not only managed to "awaken the sleeping bull", but put a big dent in our economy. The airlines, tourism and related industries were hit tremendously. Thousands of people were laid off their jobs. The stock market took weeks to recover. Osama Bin Laden is discovered to be the head of the "Taliban" and the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks. President George W. Bush declares "War on Terrorism".

February 2003 - The Space Shuttle Colombia disintegrates upon reentry into the earth's atmosphere killing all on board.

March 2003 - U.S. President George W. Bush invades Iraq with the intention of "liberating" Iraq from the tyrant, Saddam Hussein convinced that he is hording weapons of mass destruction.

March 2003 - SARS - Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome - kills 80 and has over 2400 people infected all over the world.

December 13, 2003 - Sadam Hussain is capture in Iraq.

October 6, 2004 - The Iraq Survey Group announces that they found no evidence that Iraq under Saddam Hussein had produced and stockpiled any weapons of mass destruction since 1991. Questions arise as to the real reasons behind President Bush's invasion of Iraq.

7/6/2009 - Note: this site was ignored for some time, so I will update pivotal points from 2008 on.

November 2008 - Barak Obama is elected as the first African-American President of the U.S. and inherits the worst economic crisis in U.S. history.

February 2009 - President Obama signs a $787 billion economic stimulus package.

Spring 2009 - The "Swine" Flu is declared a pandemic.

June 2009 - GM declares bankruptcy. U.S. jobless rate reaches 26-year high at 9.5%.

July 2009 - U.S. finally starts pulling back troops from Iraq and hope to have them all out by 2011 (I wonder if all those troops will have jobs to return to.) Vice President Joe Biden said the Obama administration "misread how bad the economy was". North Korea launches more missiles. The national debt was $11,518,472,742,288. Osama Bin Laden is still at large.

February 2010 - The U.S. economy is still struggling but showing signs of improvement with unemployment now at 9.8% down from 10%. Republican Scott Brown is sworn in as Senator from Massachusetts capturing the Democratic seat held by Edward Kennedy and thus breaking the Democratic majority in the Senate.

President Obama vows to work on job creation, increase exporting, reducing government spending (starting in 2011) and continue to find a solution for the health care crisis.

What In the World Is Going On? Dr. David Jeremiah compares recent world events with the end times prophecies in the Book of Daniel.
