You need to familiarise yourself with the company. You should use the Internet to find information about Smarts.

1. Open a new browser window.

2. Find the Edexcel website by using a search engine. 

3. Find the link to the Smarts home page by navigating through the Edexcel site.  Remember to Read Everything on the page before you move on.  Decide what information is relevant and what will best get you what you want.

4. Bookmark the Smarts home page.

5. Find out more about the company by browsing through the site.   You will need some of this information to complete later tasks.

6. Copy and Paste the company address and contact details of Smarts into a Microsoft Word Document.

7. Save this information in your folder.  Give the document a meaningful name.

8. The management of Smarts feels that the company needs a more professional image. You may have noticed that Smarts does not currently have a logo.

   1. Design and create a suitable logo to be used on the website and all company documents. 

   2. You can draw and scan the logo or you can use software to create it. 

   3. Make sure that the logo will fit in with the style of the website. 

   4. Make sure the logo is no more than 3cm by 3cm.

   5. Produce three rough ideas and pick the best one.  I will want to see all three Logos.

9. Save your logo with the filename PARK LOGO.

10. Make sure to create a footer at the bottom of any work you have done.  The footer should include your name and form, your candidate number, and your centre number.
