I was the one who said the dog was killed in the last topic.

I was at my friend's house, and about 10pm, we heard something outside. We turned off the light. Keep in mind his house is right on the edge of some woods. We turned the lights out so whatever was outside could not see our shadows and see us looking out.

We turned the lights out and let our eyes adjust to the darkness. The moonlight cast a big shadow on the window, and it scraped the window, making the most horrible sound ever. It made us cringe. My friend and me were the only ones at his house at the time, making the whole ordeal terrifying. My friend, being a braver soul than I, got his shotgun loaded and went out his outside cellar door by the ground. What he saw, he said, was the worst sight of his life. He was a brave person. He has skydived, parachuted, ran with the bulls, and mountain climbed, and etc, and he got back inside not even firing a shot.

He was shaking so bad I thought he was going into shock, but I'm no doctor. I helped him onto the couch. All he woudl say was he saw a big dark looking creature with some kind of armor with spikes on its shoulders.

In the morning, we found his dog brutally killed. All that was left of it was a pile of blood, guts, and fur. The skull had been crushed to pieces.


He should have shot it

This happened with be last night. I was just in bed about to sleep when i heard a long whisper. I was like freaked out, it pretty much sounded like a human whisper but no one was around. Also my room is locked from the inside so theres no chance for someone to come on except for the Window (the person should be less than 1 ft in height/width, XD)

But it was still freaky, i guess

Been a rough day. Got up this morning, put on a shirt and a button fell off. I picked up my briefcase and the handle came off. I'm afraid to go to the bathroom.

About 2 years ago me and my friend david went to this creek we went to all the time. but this time was different. The walk down was through woods, and we kept hearing noises. we dismissed them as being deer and kept walking. we finally get down to the creek and we notice the sky had gotten pretty dark. we said we were going to stay for about a half hour, before it got really dark.

about 15 minutes later the noises started again. they started getting closer. we saw 2 or 3 things going through the woods surrounding the creek. we started getting really freaked out. then I started hearing high pitched squealing noises. like a young pig but higher. my friend couldnt hear them but he heard low pitched moaning, So we ran out of there really fast. but the woods went on for about a mile from the creek so we had to stop for breath. ( more him than me, i WAS in good shape) so we sat down thinking that we were safe. then we saw it. it was a 7 foot tall dark person (being shadow not Negro) it got about 15 feet away from us then we heard our names being called. the search team for Fort macmurray was right behind us. they didnt see it but we did.

P.S. it turns out we were in the woods for 6 hours

ok... i've never believed in shadow creatures... the very thought of it was just stupid to me. personally i thought it was maybe another form of ghost.
when i was a kid i used to see a black form from time to time. it was kind of shapeless, moved quickly, and i always saw it in clear view. not out of the corner of my eye but right out in the open. i saw it when i was alone or with people. i've always chalked it up to just paranoia or imagination... when i was younger i dont think there was ever any talk of shadow creatures. in the 80's aliens and area 51 was the focus of paranormal discussion.

but recently my mother has seen something black & shapeless. she told me last night that the first time she saw it was at a family gathering. she was at the dining room table, sitting talking with about 10 family members. she said while she was just listening to her brother she felt something move behind her. as she turned to look something flew over her head. as it went over she saw a shadow on the table and heard sound change, like sound wasnt bouncing off the ceiling but just over her head. she told me that it felt so close that she ducked.

now if this wasnt coming from her i wouldnt believe it. she is a skeptic about everything. this whole conversation started when she was telling me how her day at work went.

so the other day at work something similar happened. something flew over her head in almost the same manner. but it came from left to right and it was so close that she ducked. her manager saw her and asked what was up. thinking that it was a bird (she works in a large warehouse) she told her manager that something needs to be done to keep them out... he told her nothing flew by and all the birds were in the other side of the warehouse where the heat was.

well up until a few days ago i thought shadow creatures were a bunch of crap... but now my thoughts have changed a bit. though many of the ideas presented about their existence seem a little crazy to me i'm definitely changing my stance of it being a bunch of crap.

Can't say I have ever seen them, but from what I speculate from these "sightings", they are very intelligent, and seem to be hostile toward small animals and curious of mankind(as a potential meal?)

About a year ago I was working on my computer (Ok...I was playing games) at about 11:30 at night. I shut of my computer and turn on Adult Swim to watch Family Guy. Somewhere around twelve I heard tapping on my window. I thought nothing of it because there is a huge oak tree two feet from my window. The tapping stopped about a minute later.
At one I started to get tired so I turn off my TV and walk over to my bed. As soon as I grabbed one of my bed sheets the TV turns back on and the tapping starts all over again. I walk over to the TV and check the weather channel to see if we are having a lightning storm. The weather channel said that there was no storms in the area so I turn off my TV and get back to bed. The tapping is still going on and after awhile I became very annoyed. I walk over to the window and open the blinds.

What I saw still haunts me today. I saw a figure draped in a black cloak standing ten feet from my window. The figure was standing still so I thought it was the shadow of the tree outside my window. Then it started to move. I glided over to my window and stopped. The whole time my TV was turning on and off but I payed no attention. The figure then jumped up into the air and landed in the middle of the street. I shut the blinds and ran around that house. making sure that all of the doors where locked. I ran back to my room and open the blinds, the creature was gone. I closed the blinds back up again and stayed up the rest of the night with my paintball gun. To this day I never saw it again.

My paintball gun is the only gun I keep in my room. The rest of the guns where in the garage and after seeing that thing I was NOT going to go get them.

For some reasons I saw some freaky things in this house (I've lived in this house all my life), for example, I had probably 6 years back then, I was with my parents at their room, we always watched TV before goin to sleep, but this time, I turned to the door, and inmediately I regreted it. There was this weird creature, it looked human, but it was not exactly a shadow, it looked more like a dark-green color and looking at me.
I just covered myself with the blanket and started crying, then my parents checked out and there was nothing more than us in the house. o.o
There have been other ocurrences like annoying sounds like walking, but I have always been with my parents when that happens. We always check out every room and there's none, even if the walking sonds continues.
Even more interesting, when I was a child, I couldn't see directly to a certain door because I always saw some ghosts(at least 3) coming out of it. I even had several nightmares with them, where I was forced to see them appearing and coming to me O.o
Very freaky, but it was when I was a child, I have never seen anything these last years.
Also, I live in Costa Rica, so there are not many oparanormal thingies here, XD

I dunno if my thing is at all like yours, but here goes.

I live in a suburban area of Massachusetts, not too far west of Boston. Anyways, I'd heard lots of thumps, like footsteps overhead. I passed it off as my sister or something, until I realized that I was on the top floor. I got freaked out, and started to go downstairs when I noticed that one of my windows was significantly darker than the other. I stared for a second, then the darkness sortof slipped off. I saw something speeding into the woods (you can see them from my window). I suddenly got really scared, ran downstairs, and over to my friend's next door. I remember that nothing happened for about half an hour after, then I started hearing these rhythmic...pants, almost... They went away after about an hour, but that was seriously weird. The thing flying into the woods was just a jagged blur...

Okay, I encountered one of these creatures. I am convinced that, at least the armored ones, are demonic in nature as I "defeated" one of them with prayer.

Me and my friend were at a middleschool for a robotics tournament. The tournament sucked and we were more of spectators anyway so we began to explore the school. We found this old gym that was highly unsettling, especially since the floor we were on was empty. Now as we walked up there we found a dark stairway with a locked door, to an abandoned bathroom.

In order to get up here you walk up a circular stairway which, at about the middle, leads off to the small gym, you have to go all the way up to get to the bathroom.

Well the bathroom was also creepy, and locked, but we found that it wasn't really locked, just sealed, not sure by what. My friend tries to force the door, but a voice shouts "_____(Friend's name)!" WE immediatly bolt down the stairs, we both heard it. We proccede to bum around the tournament until a group of people approach us about taking them to see the creepy place we found(We had talked a bit loudly about it). So we round up ten people and go up the stairs. I ask my friend if he can force the door(I didn't seem to have the strength nessecary) and he says yes. So we bust in there and look around, there were varying things lying around like notes scribbled on the walls and the like.

After about ten minutes of uneventfulness the people get bored and head down the stairs. The door SLAMMED behind us. Apparently, my view was blocked, one of them looked into the small gym and saw a traffic cone floating in the air. The told their friends and they all gawked at it when it suddenly went flying into a basketball hoop. Needless to say the girls in the group who did see it began to scream and the girls who didn't scream because they got startled by the others. Well then the boys join in, and gave me a headache because the floor had an echo, and then... something else joined in to. Its scream was more like a roar and overshadowed even the loudst and shrillest of the girls. It began like a rumbling echo but manifested itself into a full roar. As they people noticed it they became petrified with fear until only its yell remained. This was probably the second most frightening moment of my life thus far.

We all ran away. After a time we and my friend became so bored that we wished to verify the other's claims about the traffic cone as neither of us had checked in the panic. We enter the small gym and immediatly feel distant and cold, altough the gym was quite warm and the sun shone through. We looked up to our horror and did indeed see a traffic cone in one of the baskets. Feeling brave-- for whatever reason-- we sunk the remaining cones in the hoops as well. It was after we sunk the last hoop that we felt extremely scared. Determining this to be a demonic prescence my friend began to sing "Jesus Loves Me" I was to busy being unnerved to laugh at him. Something had definantly entered the room after we did, we could feel it. So I did the only thing I could think of and began to pray.

As I closed my eyes my mind seem to seek out this creature and I could see without seeing. I looked around and saw a black entity, clad in armor that absorbed the light, and it was armed. When I began my prayer it turned away from my friend, whom it was looming over, and began to appraoch me, slowly and confidently at first, but quicker and shakier the more of my prayer I uttered. It lifted its monster blade as it neared-- this was perhaps the most frightening moment of my life.

As soon as I finished saying amen a wave of heat seemed to flow over me and my friend. Naturally my friend wondered what was happening, but I didn't respond to him unitl I had witnessed the creatre being devoured and push back by the invisible wave. It cowered and fled in my prescence, retreating back up the strais into the bathroom.

After explaining to my friend the situation I was determined to seek this creature down and destroy it. MY friend, however, refused to open to door. Realizing that the door was probably sealed by this creature I prayed again and easily opened the door. I felt drained spiritually afterwards which reinforced my beleif that It was sealed by an entity and not stuck by comepletely physical means.

In the bathroom was one other door, and small storage room I pressume, that seemed to house the entirety of what was left of the beast, as the bathroom now seemed warm and almost inviting. Touching the knob resulted it one of the worst feelings ever. It ws like being trapped in my own mind by dread and fear, I was comepletely paralyzed, staring blankly at the door. MY friend snapped my out of it and tried himself, he resisted its effects-- most likely to his higher, for lack of a better word, spirit power than me at the time-- and fell back. We determined that we could not take this thing in its stronghold and left.

Rarely have we talked about this place since then and definantly not so publicly >_> It was just too creepy.
