Me and my friend were walking outside around 12-12:30.We just rounded the corner of the block when we saw it.It was some big creture thing.Really tall.

My friend started freaking out.He said we should leave now.I said no.I wanna talk.

I was scared to death but I walked up to that thing.I heard a low growl emmiting from it's face area.

I said"Just to let you know,i'm not afraid of you."I heard a voice say"You should be."

I don't know about the armor.Possibly it's a middle ages spirit.They only wore armor plated with spikes in that time period.

I think that if these are some sort of spirit, they be more into the "hostile ghost" category. How would they've acquired the armor? Simple. The armor is representative of the barriers that they put around themselves in life. On a side note, I wonder if people think we're childish."

the reason i didn't post this earlier is cause i didn't think anybody would believe me

but yall too... *shudders*

one time i was at my best friends hes a gun fanatic... the next week was going to be my birthday so he was going to give me 3 guns(2 pistols 1 rifle/shotgun)
we were playing X-BOX & it was getting late(no one was at his house but me & him)
so i called my mom to let her kno i would be home in the morning anyway he has... or had a loudass dog anyway we heard a wimpering outside...he was in the bathroom(taking a longass dump,i know cause he didn't flush) i went through his room looking for his 9mm and 12 gauge
i finally found'em, went outside, and found his dog (originally in the house) with a crushed skull, a diced up torso, & blood all over the porch...
i loaded the 12-gauge,tucked the 9mm,and looked around he had a hallway like

i turned to the pool and there was nothing there...i eased up but i heard something behind me i quickly turned and aimed but the shotgun hit something heavy
the shadow creature...
i immediately ran down the hallway, looked back, there was nothing there
i still didn't feel safe i dashed inside told my friend he got his D.E. (his grandfather gave him) we went back outside
i only had 2 shells in the 12-gauge but i felt safer with him with me....
when he saw the dog he threw up from the sight, smell and the love he had for the dog...
he got mad real fast
then i spotted it ,tall dark and spikey shoulders,i pointed it out to him, he got up shot at it, i did to, dropped the 12-gauge, got the 9mm, shot all the bullets at it, nothing happened,then it just disappeared

he went in he cried for hours until he fell asleep then i went back out (loaded 9mm just to be safe), looked at the dog,then my eyes glanced over where we shot at th Shadow Creature,finally i went back in, layed down, and fell asleep

I really feel bad for that second poster who said someone's dog died. Sounds like just the exact same way my friend's dog Kirby was attacked.

Dragonfire Mage Where exactly do you live in Iowa? I live in Iowa *Northern Iowa* to and I had an expirence with Shadow Creatures when I was 9. I saw it the mirror when I was looking at it was weird but it didn't freak me out. It was black form that was micking me so it looked like me but it was all black and had no face features.

I had another experience with a shadow creature. I think it was the same one as last time.....

Anyway, It happened when I was helping the roofing guys bring some stuff onto my roof, I happened to be watching out the window, and one of them cut his hand really bad, or something. It was about 5:00, and it was getting kinda dark, and they asked me for some help. So I got up on the scaffolding thing, and helped them carry up a box of shingles. One of them looked over at the sort of mini-woods in my backyard and screamed. We all looked in time to see a human-like thing shoot up and back, and we all basically clambered down, they left, and I ran back inside.

Vanhugen, that is really freaky. That’s exactly why I turn off my computer speakers when I go to bed. I don’t want some demon using them to talk to make horrible sounds, because that would really mess with my head. I also turn the mouse (it has a wheel that lights up blue) away from the monitor so I’ll know if I see anything in the monitor. I have heard creep accounts of people seeing faces or things in tvs or monitors or other reflective surfaces.

Yian Yan, I did have the windows and blinds shut. The thing is, there is a street light outside my window, and the light is really bright, so I could see the shadow. It even tried to open my window…something I forgot to put in my first post in this topic, but which I told about in my first topic in 2001.

Phoenix Payne, you actually SAW it?! I would have been so scared to actually see it. How far away from you was it? Tell when and where you were, and how far away it was relating to that point in time. Can you describe it any more?

Yes ideed, I saw it. The first time it was about 60 feet away till I shot it, (that story's a little ways back in the topic) then once it got to it's closest, it had closed in to around 30 feet away. I was in my house, and it was around 2:30 AM. If you meant month/yearwise, it was around when Jeepers Creepers 2 came out.

The second time, I saw it with less detail, as it was blocked out a bit. I'd say it was about 80 feet away that time. Here's a diagram...

For a description, it was 7-8 feet tall, it's head sort of Came up further than it's body and was angled downwards, like a horse's. It had long, horns (ears, even?) towards the back of it's head. It was reletively human-like, except it's knees bent backwards...and it had wings. Huge ****ing wings. I couldn't make out many features either time, but the first time, as it was coming towards us, it let out this horrible screech, like a woman screaming over another woman with a slightly deeper voice screaming. It was hard to describe.....but I'll never forget the screech.

Omg, I know exactly the kind of scream you are talking about. OMG that reminded me of one time when I was probably 6 or 7 and I was out camping with my friend and hsi brother and dad.

We were camping in some woods, and I don't even remember what it was called or where it was because I was too little to remember, and we were sleeping in 2 tents. I was sleeping in the one with my friend, when I woke up and had to go to the bathroom. There was an outhouse not too far from where the tent was. At that age, I did not know of any violent creatures that stalked people or anything similar. So I wasn't afraid. I just walked through the dark night down the barely visible trail because the weeds and plants were so high.

The outhouse was probably 100 yards away or farther, and when I was about 30 yard away from it, I heard something come out of the bushes behind me. I could hear it stop, so I knew it was about 10 yards away from me. I could hear it breathing, and I wan't responsible enough to have a flashlight back then, so I was scared ****less! I took off running opposite of it, which was away from camp, and omg I won't even finish unless you guys really want to because just being reminded of it freaks me the hell out.

You know that story sounds like something out of Stephen King. I knda get weird experinces in my house but nithing like that.

Well, I ran away from the direction of the camp, and I'm not sure, but I think the thing ran on 2 legs. I could tell by the sound. I ran and ran and ran, driven by fright. I must have ran a mile. By this time I was lost and panicking and crying. It screamed like with the combination of low pitch and high pitch. It sounded like it could shatter glass, because it hurt my eardrums. It sounded kind of like a car horn, only it wasn't...if that makes sense.

I then tripped on what I think was a tree root, and tumbled down a ravine, injuring my ankle. I had the wind knocked out of me. So I could do nothing but just lay there.

30 seconds later, I heard something walk in the leaves in front of me. I couldn't see it, but I heard it sniff, then it made a real loud grunting sound and then it left. I spent several frightened hours huddled up inside a hollowed out tree, trembling from fear, not knowing if it was right on the other side of the tree, waiting to kill me if I tried to leave.

I was awakened in the early morning by the Ranger, and I realized I was out of the tree, lying in the leaves. The Ranger put me in her truck. She then helped me find my camp. She also put like a splint or something on my ankle.

When I got back to camp, and told my friend's dad, he told me he heard a scream of some sort, too.

I would post pictures of the room, except this happened in 1999, and it looks completely different now. (I put a broken refrigerator and television where I had seen it.)

It looked like a human kneeling down, knees bent forward, with his rear resting on his feet. You get what I mean? The weird thing was, when I saw it, I got a vision of a dog and a man, but there was no dog shape. When it stood it still looked human, except I couldn't see it from the torso upwards, due to the light.

It had woken me up at about 3:00 AM, so I watched it for about an an hour and a half before the street light went out. And it was about 6:30 that light first entered. The entire time I laid there, ready to run if I had to, with my eyes fixed on the spot I had seen it last.

yesterday in the middle of the night i heard 3 knocks on my window and also heard strange whispers. so i bravely opened my curtains to see who it was and nobody was there... so i went back to my computer. a few minutes past there was another knock. i didn't care, i just ignored it and went on to my battlefield 1942 game.

I seen shadows from the corner of my eyes but...the shadow creature...I seen shadows of human figures but nothing like what you people are talking about...
But during those times...I feel like I don't know how to describe it...

Like one time I was in bed I woke up...felt this evil around me...so I darted out of my room and grabbed my Bible...went to sleep with my bible also...

My friend on the other hand has said he seen something like that...but it was bright white and he felt evil from it too...
