Spells Known to the Imperial Mages Guild
This is NOT official, but is merely based on one Magical Theory, possibly one theory of many. Some of the following spells have been declared illegal. Other spells listed elsewhere as illegal are not.
Being a summary of the Creative Magic, or the Spells of Law, taught within the
Academy, and a listing of spells of first through fifth level by Triangle
Creative Magic
Magic is performed and spells are bound from the mists of the Ether. Every
spell that is to be bound relies on two of the six elements (three, if you
count the Ether, which makes each spell a miniature triangle of Law). Only
elements with a point of contact can be combined. Magic that relies on the
boundaries and connections of the triangles of Law within the star of Magic is
"Creative Magic." Creative Magic supports, and is in turn supported by, the Law
of the Cosmos. Magic which bypasses the triangles of Law and instead makes its
connection around the circle is "Entropic Magic," the magic of Chaos. Civilized
realms typically ban studies into Entopic Magic. There are rumors that the
binding of entropic spells catches the attention of Chaotic powers, possibly
higher powers than the Gods themselves.
The spells of Creative Magic are the spells of Law, the spells which are taught
in the IMG and all other civilized guilds of magic.
Ether-Light-Earth
(a.k.a., Alteration)
The magics which bind Light and Earth with Ether tend to be "item affecting"
spells. Certain other spells which can manipulate people or creatures through
the influence of the Earth (gravity, pressure, etc) are also included. Not
every spell listed under the school of Alteration in the PHB is included in
this category, but enough are that I have chosen to give that name to this
triangle. A few item affecting spells from Enchantment/Charm are also included.
Specialist Transmuters must choose between this triangle or the
Ether-Earth-Water triangle, and may use any spell from their chosen Triangle as
the bonus spell of their school.

(a.k.a., Divination)
The tradition of using a pool of chalice as a scrying device led the
spellbinders of Kyranath to look to the reflective properties of light and
water for their divinations. All spells of the school Lesser/Greater Divination
are included here. Divination Specialists may use any spell of this triangle
as the bonus spell as the bonus spell of their school.
