Day 3

This morning was a repeat of yesterday with an in room breakfast and some internet time.

After getting ready for the day I got a call from Yahtzee Mike. We talked about how strange things are down here right now. After this I hit the casino. As always, I swiped to get today's multiplier. For slots I got 4x and for video poker I got 3x.

I took a morning walk along the river walk. It's supposed to be very hot today and it was already pushing triple digits. I played some penny games at each stop along the way. Not much major stuff as far as wins or losses.

From there it was back to Aquarius. I decided to start with lunch at Cafe Aquarius. I had the chicken fingers and tater tots. These are usually really good but these were over cooked and the breading was borderline burned.

Next it was on to the video poker machines and some 10 play. Pretty decent session hitting aces 3 times and one short period where I got dealt trips almost every hand. The meter was up by over $300 but that was gone before I knew it. I cashed out with my first VP win of the trip at $1 on 7k in action.

I took a break and a walk over to Edgewater and back.

When I got back I hit the machines again and a little more 10 play. Nothing doing. Did get to hover for quite a while before the bleed happened. Lost $478 on 17k in action so for the first time got some play out of the money.

I took a short break and then hit the machines again. I took a shot at dollars. Got a fair amount of play but just didn't hit many quads. Dropped 4 bills on 12k in action. Not too shabby but after these losses the last few days it's time for a win.

For dinner I went to Duet. I got the Smoked Brisket Sandwich. Not good, not bad. It was the only place open other than fast food or Outback which was packed. The effed up part was that it was only 7pm.

After dinner I took walk up and down the river walk. Stopped by the Tropicana and I was amazed at how many people were wearing their masks as chin guards. Some people weren't even wearing anything. After seeing this I have to give props to Golden Entertainment for staying on top of people and telling them the need to cover the nose and mouth.

When I got back to the Aquarius I played some penny slots. I got lucky here with a bonus round worth over $300! I've actually won more money on slots than video poker so far this trip.

I had enough play in for the day so decided to come upstairs to wind down with some TV and then sleep.
