Day 8

We started off with the gym this morning. Dee hasn't gotten that much therapy since we got out here and this was much needed. We both felt good after this and went back tot he room to get ready for the day.
We were hungry so went to Duet for something to eat. We both had bagels here. The food here is good but they don't have a toaster, the toast the bagels on a panini press. They are also lame in the fact that when you order butter or cream cheese, they don't put it on for you. They hand you a bag with some butter packets in it and you have to do it.
It was now time for more video poker. This session we played the 3/5/10 plays again. Things were really good here. There were 2 straight flushes, 5 sets of aces for me, a royal on the base line for Dee and we finished with a pretty nice win.
For lunch we went to the Aquarius Cafe. I had the BBQ pork on grilled sourdough. The sandwich was good but weak in the amount of BBQ pork on it. Dee had a club sandwich and then we were back in the casino.
We played some penny slots and got over an hour of play on just a $20 bill. There weren't any major hits but we had fun machine hopping and got good bang for our buck this afternoon.
We returned to the 3/5/10 plays again. This time around things were streaky and I was up and down dropping a few bills. Dee seemed to hover a bit more and and cashed out even.
We took a break up in the room for a while and then for dinner were went to Outback for appetizers since we weren't that hungry. We had a blooming onion and an order of chicken wings. The food was decent and the service, provided by a fun waiter that was 7 feet tall was decent.
After dinner it was time for more video poker action on the 3/5/10 plays. Things were streaky here again but I hit another straight flush and 4 more sets of aces. In total we hit aces over 10 times today. Even with the aces and straight flushes we dropped $100 between us but overall for the day it was a pretty good result.
We wrapped up the night with some TV and then sleep!
