Day 14
Sunday July 27, 2003
Up around 10am and I started packing some of the stuff I won’t need for the rest of the trip. Today is the last day in town so for the most part today is going to suck! I always hate the last day in town especially when the trip has been filled with nothing but losses. Go figure hitting a royal and having a $1500 craps win and still being in the hole for the trip.
At about noon I met Gary, CC and their kids for lunch over at the coffee shop. I had the Feel Good Soup for one last time on the trip. We talked for a while and made some tentative plans for tonight up here at the Fiesta.
After they left I came back up here to the room and packed up a little more and then it was off to the casino for some VP. I played some more deuces wild but the deuces were on vacation. I wasn’t hitting the big hands but the smaller hands kept me playing for about an hour and a half before the machine went into sucking mode and wiped me out.
My plan was to play VP all day but something made me go over to the craps game. It was about 5:30pm and I went all in with the money I had left for the trip. I was either going to go bust or going to get something out of this. The table started out ok but then got choppy. I was never up more than $300. Later in the session I see Gary and CC and thought oh man, I’ve been playing for a long time. It was now 11pm. I’ve just played another marathon session. Gary and CC went to play some VP while I continued to play craps. The table started to ice down and Gary and CC came back to check on my progress. This is when I got the idea to have CC shoot the dice. CC did a great job hitting plenty of numbers and repeating so I was getting paid on my come bets. After she 7’d out I made Gary shoot. Gary didn’t want to but we convinced him to throw. He did well too hitting his point and a few numbers. I had CC shoot one more time after Gary and she had another great roll getting me back to even for the session. I cashed out up $154 for the session. This wasn’t exactly what I had in mind for a win this session but it was a win. As I left the tables I tipped the dealers and Gary and CC. Of course they didn’t want it but they did win me a few hundred so they deserved it. You’ve gotta love when non-craps players shoot the dice. They always seem to do a great job.
After cashing in at the cage we all went over to the coffee shop to have something to eat. For me this was a late dinner. I had the hot roast beef sandwich again and it was as good as it always is.
I finally got back up to the room around 2am. I was going to finish packing but decided to just go to bed and pack in the morning.
Total win loss for the day $100
Total comps for the day $68
