Day 9 Tuesday July 22, 2003

Got up around 10am and opened the curtains and to my surprises there was the window washer right outside my window. I guess it was a good thing I wasn’t running around the room naked although I doubt that with the mirrored glass he would have seen me anyway.

After I got ready I went over to the Barbary Coast to play some FPDW. These machines were brutal. I hit a few 5 of a kinds but only 1 dirty royal and of course no deuces. I played for about an hour and a half and dropped $200. That’s not very much play for that kind of money.

From the Barbary Coast I walked down to the south end to go to the meet at Monte Carlo that was organized on the Las Vegas Talk Discussion Board. I was early so I wandered over to Excalibur and played craps. This table was a nightmare and I dropped $100 in about 5 minutes without getting paid on anything at all.

After running my ass out of the Excalibur I went over to the Monte Carlo. I was early for the meet so I hit the craps table. This table sucked another $125 from me and I moved to the table on the other side of the pit. This table started off ok but then went to hell and decided that for the first time ever I would start betting on the dark side. This seemed to be working out well although it was strange to be hoping the shooter would seven out. I was betting the don’t pass and making 2 don’t come bets laying odds. I lost a few bets but won far more than I lost. When I shot the dice I moved back to the pass line and had a decent roll as well and at one point threw 6 five times in a row! I cashed out of this game with $341 for a $261 win.

After cashing out I went over to the brewpub for the meet. Only 2 other people along with Frank showed up and we talked for a while before going our own ways.

As I was walking back I stopped off in Boardwalk just to pass through but as I was walking through the casino I had to stop and play one of the worst games available. That game being Flip It. I know this is a terrible play but it’s fun! I lost $5 here but I got to play for about 30 minutes before this machine swallowed up all of my coins.

From Boardwalk I walked all of the way back to the Flamingo and that’s where we are in the report right now. It’s time for a short break and then it will be time to get back to the action again.

After the break I found myself headed back over to the Hard Rock yet again. I started off with a little bit of video poker with nothing hitting. I dropped $30 here before moving to craps. The casino was pretty dead tonight and the craps tables were slow. I got onto a game and from the time I got there until the time I left every shooter except for 2 threw the dice hitting number after number. I bumped up my bets and the numbers were still hitting. I’ve never seen such a hot table since I’ve started playing craps and certainly didn’t have a table this hot so far for the entire trip. After 4 hours I cashed out with $1500 after paying back my marker. This wasn’t only my biggest win on craps for this trip; it’s my biggest win on craps ever!

After cashing out and collecting my cash I got a comp for Mr. Lucky’s 24/7 coffee shop. I had the T-bone with garlic mashed potatoes and it also came with a garden salad. I also got a big slice of chocolate cake to go for a late night snack in the room.

After I was done eating I came back to the Flamingo and called it a night at 2am.

Total win/loss for the day $1350
Total comps for the day $83
