Scott County coach Billy Hicks started the following lineup: 6-6 So. Michael Moreno, 6-0 So. Lorenzo Williams, 6-2 Sr. Dakota Allen, 5-8 So. Cam Fluker, and 6-1 So. Bryce Long. Paris coach Terrence Brooks countered with 6-1 Sr. Ryan Davis, 5-11 Sr. Jacques Dumphord, 6-3 Sr. Jekobi Wells, 5-10 Jr. Eric Johnson, and 5-8 Jr. Marcus Ashford.
Paris made a game of it in the first half but Scott County pulled away in the second half to earn an 85-54 victory. The score was tied five times and there were seven lead changes in the game. Scott County shot 45.5% from the field including nine of 26 from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on 16 of 18 free throws, pulled down 48 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 21 Paris turnovers. Paris shot 35.4% from the field including four of 12 from beyond the arc. The Greyhounds connected on 16 of 24 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 19 Scott County turnovers.
Michael Moreno led Scott County with 25 points, 12 rebounds, three blocked shots, and two steals. 6-2 Jr. Cooper Robb added 16 points and nine rebounds. Bryce Long chipped in with 10 points. 6-4 Sr. Cooper Watts recorded eight points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots.
Jekobi Wells led Paris with 16 points and four rebounds. Eric Johnson added 15 points and four rebounds.
