Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. Lauren Boehm, 5-10 So. Peyton Riddle, 5-11 So. Sydney Southerland, 5-5 Fr. Juliette Smith, and 5-9 Sr. Bailey Hawkins.  Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford countered with 5-8 So. Braxton Price, 5-8 So. Cheyenne Jones, 5-10 Sr. Nakeisha Green, 5-5 So. Alexis Lutz, and 5-7 Fr. Kiya Thompson. (5-6 Sr. T’Laya Lyvers was not available tonight).

 

Henry Clay led Scott County 53-47 in the final quarter but the Lady Cardinals outscored Henry Clay 12-2 in the final 2:13 to earn a 59-55 victory.  There were six lead changes and eight ties in the game. Scott County shot 37% from the field including four of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 15 of 24 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 14 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 30.3% from the field including six of 24 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 15 Scott County turnovers.

 

Peyton Riddle led Scott County with 17 points and 10 rebounds.  Juliette Smith added 13 points and three assists.  Bailey Hawkins chipped in with 10 points and four rebounds.  Lauren Boehm recorded eight points and seven rebounds.

 

5-9 So. Orionna Woods led Henry Clay with 14 points including two three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Alexis Lutz, Braxton Price, and Kiya Thompson each recorded 10 points.

Sayre outscored Bryan Station 15-5 in the final quarter to earn a victory over the Lady Defenders by a score of 46-41.  Sayre shot 53.1% from the field including one of two from the three point line.  The Lady Spartans connected on 11 of 20 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 21 Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 28.6% from the field including three of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Defenders connected on two of nine free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 34 Sayre turnovers.  Bryan Station attempted 31 more shots (63-32) from the field than Sayre.

 

Sydney Strup led Sayre with 13 points and seven rebounds.  Ellie Alford added 11 points and eight rebounds.  Dee Dee Wheeler recorded nine points and five rebounds. 

 

Ezhaunnai Ighodaro led Bryan Station with 10 points, eight rebounds, and four steals.  5-8 Sr. Zariah Kavanaugh added 10 points and three steals.  5-5 Jr. Carah Burdette recorded four points, six rebounds, and four steals.  Jlyn Martin chipped in with six points and six steals.

Zan Payne, 6-1 Sr. JJ Ogbogu, 6-6 Jr. Peter Whitman, 6-0 Sr. Donovan Morris, and 6-3 Jr. Luke Johnson.

 

Lafayette rallied in the final minute to defeat Lexington Catholic by a score of 66-63.  The score was tied seven times and there were six lead changes in the game.  Lafayette shot 36.7% from the field including six of 24 from the three point line.  The Generals connected on 24 of 33 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 16 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 44.2% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Knights connected on 21 of 29 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored nine points off six Lafayette turnovers.

 

Ross Jenkins led Lafayette with 17 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Harrison Lane added 14 points including three three point baskets.  TJ Downey also reached double figures with 12 points.

 

Zan Payne led Lexington Catholic with 16 points and 10 rebounds.  Luke Johnson added 15 points and eight assists.  JJ Ogbogu recorded 14 points and 10 rebounds.  Donovan Morris chipped in with 11 points.  Peter Whitnan pulled down seven rebounds.

Caroline Bennett led Lafayette with 15 points.  Kiara Pankins added eight points, six rebounds, and four steals.  5-10 Sr. Aisha Conwell recorded four points and six rebounds.

Coach Jeff Jackson collected his 500th coaching victory tonight as Lincoln County defeated Bryan Station 44-43 in a thriller.  Lincoln County shot 42.9% from the field including five of 12 from the three point line.  The Patriots connected on three of five free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 12 Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 43.2% from the field including five of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Defenders connected on six of seven free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored seven points off six Lincoln County turnovers.

 

Wade Goode led Lincoln County with 18 points and four steals.  Noah Young added 14 points including two three point baskets.  Devin Alcorn recorded seven points, seven rebounds, and five assists.

 

Andre Davis led Bryan Station with 12 points including two three point baskets, four assists, and three steals.  David DeMarcus added 11 points including two three point baskets and five rebounds.  Terrance Murphy recorded eight points, four rebounds, and three assists.
