Waggener coach Kevin Glenn started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Sariyah Shahid-Jenkins, 5-6 Sr. Stephanie Woolridge, 6-2 Jr. Alexandria Peden, 5-4 Sr. Chelsy Hester, and 5-6 Jr. Davianna Ruff. Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-10 Fr. Grace Berger, 5-7 Fr. Kia Sivils, 5-10 Jr. Lydia Taylor, 5-4 Sr. Ashley Johnson, and 5-7 Jr. Meghan Colley.
Sacred Heart defeated Waggener by a score of 76-52. Sacred Heart shot 43.4% from the field including four of 23 from the three point line. Sacred Heart attempted 38 more shots (76-38) from the field than Waggener. The Valkyries connected on six of 13 from the free throw line, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 45 points off 45 Waggener turnovers. Waggener shot 47.4% from the field including one of two from beyond the arc. The Lady Wildcats connected on 15 of 23 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 19 Sacred Heart turnovers.
Grace Berger led Sacred Heart with 18 points, six rebounds, and four steals. 5-5 Sr. Meredith Moir added 14 points. Ashley Johnson recorded seven points and seven steals. 5-9 Fr. Natalie Fichter also scored seven points.
Alexandria Peden led Waggener with 20 points including 10 of 15 free throws and 20 rebounds. Davianna Ruff added 19 points and four steals. Stephanie Woolridge chipped in with seven points.
