Berea coach Brittany Calhoun started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Allie Maynard, 5-6 So. Teresa Kidwell, 6-0 Sr. Victoria Sexton, 5-0 So. Cherish Simpson, and 5-5 So. Jordan Sandefur. Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 6-0 So. Mallie Cornett, 5-10 So. Lindsey Johns, 5-9 Sr. Ravin Cain, 5-5 Fr. Bailee Vanover, and 5-8 So. Kasi Schneid.
Madison Central outscored Berea 22-1 in the second quarter on their way to a 67-34 victory. Madison Central shot 32.8% from the field including eight of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on 17 of 25 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 29 Berea turnovers. Berea shot 32.6% from the field including three of seven from beyond the arc. The Lady Pirates connected on three of seven free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored five points off seven Madison Central turnovers.
Lindsey Johns led Madison Central with 17 points including four three point baskets and three steals. Kasi Schneid added 15 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, and three assists. Ravin Cain chipped in with 13 points and seven rebounds. Mallie Cornett recorded six points, five rebounds, four blocked shots, and three steals.
Jordan Sandefur led Berea with 10 points including two three point baskets and seven rebounds. Victoria Sexton added eight points and five rebounds. Allie Maynard chipped in with seven points and Cherish Simpson pulled down nine rebounds.
