Frankfort coach Nick Barton started the following lineup: 6-3 So. Anthony Robinson, 6-1 Jr. Travis Skelton, 6-4 Jr. Jeff Quire, 5-8 Jr. Jalen Washington, and 5-10 Jr. Trey Thomas. Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-5 Jr. Tanner Johnson, 6-3 Jr. Reese Ryan, 6-7 Sr. Robert Dence, 5-10 Jr. Michael Talbott, and 6-2 Jr. Jarod Griffin.
Lexington Catholic raced out to an 18-0 lead after the first quarter on their way to a 69-29 victory over Frankfort. Lexington Catholic shot 43.4% from the field including seven of 19 from the three point line. The Knights connected on 16 of 20 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 12 Frankfort turnovers. Frankfort shot 24.3% from the field including one of 12 from beyond the arc. The Panthers connected on 10 of 22 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored six points off 10 Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Tanner Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 23 points including four three point baskets. Michael Talbott and Jarod Griffin added 15 and 12 points respectively. Reese Ryan recorded five points, 12 rebounds, and five assists.
Anthony Robinson led Frankfort with six points and five rebounds. Jeff Quire added six points and two rebounds.
