Dunbar captured a close 69-63 decision over West Jessamine.  The score was tied six times and there were six lead changes in this contest.  Dunbar shot 43.1% from the field including two of four from the three point line.  The Bulldogs connected on 17 of 30 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 21 West Jessamine turnovers.  Dunbar held a 19-7 advantage in second effort points.  West Jessamine shot 48% from the field including three of nine from beyond the arc.  The Colts connected on 12 of 19 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 19 Dunbar turnovers.

Lafayette defeated Henry Clay by a score of 79-54.  Lafayette took an early 18-8 lead and was never threatened tonight.  Lafayette shot 47.5% from the field including seven of 12 from the three point line.  The Generals connected on 14 of 19 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 17 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 32.8% from the field including one of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Blue Devils connected on 13 of 25 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 20 Lafayette turnovers.

Jackson Davis led Lafayette with 18 points and six rebounds.  Davis was seven of eight from the field and four of four from the free throw line.  Tranard Chester added 16 points.  Charles Sweat-Washington chipped in with 14 points and six rebounds.  Nick Trisko recorded 13 points and six rebounds.  Lance Blakely added 10 points and six rebounds.

Lexington Catholic shot a sizzling 75% from the field in the second half to pull away for a 90-76 victory over Lincoln County.  Lexington Catholic shot 65.3% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on 21 of 27 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 12 points off seven Lincoln County turnovers.  Lincoln County shot 42.4% from the field including 13 of 33 from beyond the arc.  The Patriots connected on 13 of 17 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored two points off 11 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Jack Whitman led Lexington Catholic with 30 points, 12 rebounds, and five blocked shots.  Whitman was 11 of 13 from the field and eight of 11 free throws.  Tanner Johnson added 25 points including five three point baskets and nine rebounds.  Reese Ryan chipped in with 12 points and seven rebounds.  Jarod Griffin recorded 11 points and five assists.

Lafayette defeated Henry Clay by a score of 47-36.  Henry Clay got off to a slow start missing their first 12 shots from the field and falling behind 16-5.  The Lady Devils battled back behind their superiority on the offensive boards (27-14 for the game)) and cut the deficit to three 27-24 before Lafayette pulled away after the intermission for the victory.  Lafayette shot 35.1% from the field including four of 10 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on 17 of 25 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 15 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 22.4% from the field including one of nine from beyond the arc.  The Lady Devils connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 18 Lafayette turnovers.  Henry Clay attempted 21 more shots (58-37) from the field than Lafayette.

Dee Givens led Lafayette with 16 points and four steals.  Ken’yale Demus added 10 points including two three point baskets.  Sarah Cooley chipped in with nine points on nine of 10 from the free throw line and pulled down six rebounds.  Ashanti Thomas pulled down 11 rebounds.  5-8 8^th grader Kiara Pankins recorded eight points including two three point baskets and six rebounds.

Mercy pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Sacred Heart by a score of 61-53.  There were three lead changes and eight ties in this game.  Sacred Heart was hampered by early foul woes but the score was still tied at 42-42 after three quarters.  Mercy pulled away in the closing minute to earn the victory.  Mercy shot 42.9% from the field including five of 12 from the three point line.  The Jaguars connected on 12 of 20 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 19 Sacred Heart turnovers.  Sacred Heart shot 35.3% from the field including four of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Valkyries connected on 13 of 19 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 17 Mercy turnovers.

Whitney Hartlage led Mercy with 25 points including three three point baskets and 10 of 10 from the free throw line.  Malerie Martin added 11 points and four steals.  Morgan Doherty chipped in with seven points and eight rebounds.
