Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Malea Williams, 6-0 Jr. Kenady Tompkins, 6-3 Jr. Trencye Kenney, 5-5 Sr. Morgan DeFoor, and 6-0 Jr. Kaylie Wise.  Ryle coach Katie Haitz countered with 5-11 Sr. Maddie Scherr, 5-9 Jr. Bre Crittendon, 5-10 Fr. Abby Holtman, 5-7 Sr. Jaden Douthit, and 5-8 Jr. Jayden Crist.

 

The score was tied 47-47 after three quarters but Ryle rallied for a 71-64 victory.  There were three ties in this game.  Ryle shot 32.2% from the field including four of 19 from the three point line.  The Lady Raiders connected on 29 of 32 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 18 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 38.1% from the field including six of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Cardinals connected on 10 of 26 free throws, pulled down 49 rebounds, and scored eight points off nine Ryle turnovers.

 

Maddie Scherr led Ryle with 30 points including 15 of 16 free throws, 15 rebounds, four assists, three blocked shots, and two steals.  Brie Crittendon added 14 points, five rebounds, and three steals.  Jaiden Douthit recorded nine points and five rebounds.  Jayden Crist chipped in with six points and five rebounds. 

 

Malea Williams led Scott County with 21 points, 19 rebounds, three assists, four blocked shots, and five steals.  Morgan DeFoor added 21 points including five three point baskets.  Kenady Tompkins recorded eight points and seven rebounds.  5-6 Fr. Tyra Young chipped in with five points and seven rebounds.
