Lafayette coach Allison Denton started the following lineup: 5-9 So. Caroline Bennett, 5-9 Sr. Aisha Conwell, 5-10 Jr. Kiara Pankins, 5-3 So. Terri Abram, and 5-7 Fr. Lindi DeBilzan.  Lincoln County coach Cassandra McWhorter countered with 5-8 Fr. Emma King, 5-7 Jr. Logan Godbey, 5-10 Fr. Kaitlynn Wilks, 5-5 Sr. Caitlin Hall, and 5-6 Sr. Cristin Hall.

 

Lafayette led 38-34 at halftime but Lincoln County buoyed by a 25-8 run in the third quarter earned a 75-58 victory.  Lincoln County shot 50.9% from the field including four of 15 from the three point line.  The Lady Patriots connected on 17 of 19 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 19 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 46.5% from the field including five of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Generals connected on 13 of 14 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 Lincoln County turnovers.

 

Emma King led Lincoln County with 20 points.  Kaitlynn Wilks added 16 points and five rebounds.  Logan Godbey recorded 14 points.

 

Kiara Pankins led Lafayette with 22 points and three steals.  Terri Abram added 14 points including two three point baskets.

Butler defeated Bullitt East by a score of 72-52.  Butler shot 51% from the field including seven of 14 from the three point line.  The Bearettes connected on 13 of 23 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 24 Bullitt East turnovers.  Bullitt East shot 36.2% from the field including three of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Chargers connected on 15 of 21 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 17 Butler turnovers.

 

Tasia Jeffries led Butler with 21 points including three three point baskets.  Allison Just added 13 points.  Jaelyn Penn chipped in with 11 points and five rebounds.  5-8 Jr. Janna Lewis added nine points and 5-6 Jr. Terri Goodlett pulled down 10 rebounds.

Isaiah Hunt, and 6-2 Sr. Trevor Hill.  Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-6 Fr. Michael Moreno, 6-1 So. Cooper Robb, 6-4 Jr. Cooper Watts, 6-1 Fr. Bryce Long, and 6-1 Fr. Glenn Covington.

 

Scott County defeated Lexington Christian Academy by a score of 85-65.  Scott County’s defense forced 26 turnovers that they converted to 36 points.  Scott County shot 43.5% from the field including five of 19 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 20 of 35 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and recorded 15 steals and four blocked shots.  LCA shot 38.3% from the field including three of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on 26 of 39 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored seven points off 11 Scott County turnovers.

 

Michael Moreno led Scott County with 28 points and 13 rebounds.  Cooper Robb added 14 points, four rebounds, three assists, and six steals.  6-5Sr. Clem Damron chipped in with 13 points.  Bryce Long added 11 points. 

 

Kyle Rode led LCA with 26 points including 11 of 13 free throws.  Pearce Dalton added nine points.  Tre King recorded eight points and seven rebounds.  Trevor Hill chipped in with eight points and six rebounds.

Tre King led LCA with 24 points.  Trevor Hill added 18 points, six rebounds, and three assists.  Kyle Rode chipped in with nine points and Austin Hall pulled down nine rebounds.

Lafayette did not have an answer for Dunbar’s Taveion Hollingsworth tonight as he torched the Generals for 40 points on 15 of 20 from the field including three of five from beyond the arc and seven of seven free throws in a 70-54 victory.  Dunbar shot 57.8% from the field including eight of 16 from the three point line.  The Bulldogs connected on 10 of 19 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 18 Lafayette turnovers.

 

Lafayette shot 40% from the field including eight of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Generals connected on two of eight free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored nine points off 21 Dunbar turnovers.

 

Taveion Hollingsworth led Dunbar with 40 points including three three point baskets, six rebounds, and five assists.  Darius Williams added 15 points, five rebounds, five assists, and three steals.  Jordan Lewis recorded 11 points including three three point baskets, five assists, and four steals.  Justin Kelley pulled down nine rebounds.

Rebecca Cook led Franklin County with 17 points including four three point baskets, six rebounds, and four steals.  Princess Stewart added 11 points, eight rebounds, and five steals.  Malaka Frank chipped in with 11 points and five rebounds.  5-9 Sr. Anna Arrastia also scored 11 points.

Newport central Catholic defeated Lexington Catholic by a score of 67-61.  NCC shot 45.6% from the field including eight of 23 from the three point line.  The Thoroughbreds connected on seven of 11 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 10 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 40.4% from the field including five of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Knights connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 11 Newport Central Catholic turnovers.

 

Ben Weyer led NCC with 19 points, 22 rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals.  Luke Moeves added 14 points including four three point baskets.  Brennan Hall and John Ludwig recorded 11 and nine points respectively; Ludwig’s on three three point baskets.

 

Luke Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 25 points and five rebounds.  Max Sparkman added nine points and five rebounds.  Zan Payne recorded eight points and 12 rebounds.
