Atherton coach Melissa Earley started the following lineup: 5-6 Jr. Latascha Taylor, 5-6 Jr. Addison Murphy, 5-8 Jr. Sharon Walker, 5-4 Jr. Shelby O’Leary, and 5-6 Fr. Jasmine Lewis.  Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-9 So. DaiJia Ruffin, 5-6 So. Raven Merriweather, 5-9 Sr. Sandy Gahafer, 5-6 Sr. Jade Tubb, and 5-6 Sr. Erica Walsh.

Sacred Heart raced out to a 27-2 first quarter lead in an 88-17 victory over Atherton.  The Scared Heart starters minutes ranged from 10:58 to 14:39 minutes.  Eleven players saw action with all eleven entering the scoring column.  Sacred Heart shot 62.7% from the field including four of 10 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on 10 of 11 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 55 points off 43 Atherton turnovers.  Sacred Heart held a 49-3 advantage in bench scoring.  Atherton shot 22.9% from the field including one of eight from beyond the arc.  The Lady Rebels missed their only free throw, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored five points off 15 Sacred Heart turnovers.

Raven Merriweather led Sacred Heart with 14 points, five assists, and eight steals.  5-10 Jr. Caroline Long also scored 14 points on seven of 10 from the field.  5-7 Jr. Julia Stough added nine points.  5-2 Fr. Gretchen Samsel  and DaiJia Ruffin chipped in with eight points each.  5-4 Fr. Ashley Johnson recorded seven points and seven steals.

Sharon Walker led Atherton with 12 points and six rebounds.

Bryan Station outscored Butler 20-9 in the third quarter to break a 27-27 halftime deadlock in a 71-56 victory.  Bryan Station shot 46.7% from the field including five of 20 from the three point line.  The Defenders connected on 24 of 39 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 15 Butler turnovers.  Butler shot 35.2% from the field including four of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Bears connected on 14 of 19 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 14 Bryan Station turnovers.

Jaylen Beckham led Bryan Station with 24 points including 10 of 13 free throws.  Larry Morton and Marcus Williams added 12 and 10 points respectively.  Omari Sweat pulled down 10 rebounds.

Jalen Palm led Butler with 20 points.  Rashawn Ferrell added 10 points and five rebounds.  Brenton Woodford chipped in with nine points and six rebounds.

Kaylyn Cecil led Elizabethtown with 22 points including four three point baskets.  Alexis Powell added 10 points and seven rebounds.  5-4 So. Kinsey Mudd chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets.

Assumption led 44-38 after three quarters but Lexington Catholic rallied to earn a 57-53 victory.  Lexington Catholic shot 39.3% from the field including six of 24 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on seven of 14 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 26 Assumption turnovers.  Assumption shot 42.6% from the field including eight of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Rockets connected on five of six free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 13 points off nine Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Alex Botkin led Lexington with 24 points and seven rebounds.  Octavia Wilson added 17 points including three three point baskets, eight assists, and eight steals.

Katie Friedrich led Assumption with 11 points, 14 rebounds, and four assists.  Becca Durbin added 11 points including three three point baskets.  6-6 Fr. Nora Kiesler chipped in with nine points and seven rebounds.  Kelsey Kaiser pulled down eight rebounds.

Henry Clay trailed 36-33 after three quarters but rallied to defeat Franklin County by a score of 55-51.  Henry Clay shot 35.6% from the field including two of 11 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 21 of 32 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 19 Franklin turnovers.  Franklin County shot 43.5% from the field including three of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Flyers connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 10 points off eight Henry Clay turnovers.

Christen Cunningham led Henry Clay with 21 points including 12 of 16 from the free throw line.  Alex Blackburn added 11 points and seven rebounds.  Wes Kimball chipped in with 10 points.  Darien Tichenor pulled down nine rebounds.

Logan Woodside led Franklin County with 16 points and 11 rebounds.  Garrett Hamilton added 15 points.  Chris Roberts recorded eight points and 10 rebounds.

Tommy Craig.  West Jessamine coach Damon Kelley countered with 6-2 So. Daulton Peters, 6-2 Jr. Robby Irgang, 6-3 Jr. Chase Fain, 6-0 So. Will Henderson, and 6-1 Sr. Jeff Ziemann.

West Jessamine shot a sizzling 61.7% from the field in a 74-63 victory over Mercer County.  West Jessamine also held a 16-6 advantage on second chance point and a 21-12 advantage in bench scoring.  West Jessamine shot 61.7% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line.  The Colts connected on 12 of 22 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 19 Mercer County turnovers.  Mercer County shot 44.4% from the field including seven of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Titans connected on 16 of 25 free throws, pulled down 17 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 22 West Jessamine turnovers.

Robby Irgang led West Jessamine with 16 points on eight of 10 from the field.  Daulton Peters added 15 points and 14 rebounds.  6-1 Sr. Heath Jackson also recorded 15 points.  Will Henderson also reached double digits with 10 points.  Henderson was four of four from the field including one of one from the three point line and one of one from the free throw line.  Chase Fain recorded nine points, nine rebounds, and six assists.

Jordan Duncan led Mercer County with 15 points and seven rebounds.  Russell Sims also scored 15 points including four three point baskets.  John Ingram chipped in with 14 points, six assists, and six steals.

Berea coach William Smallwood started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Barry Scudder-Davis, 5-11 Sr. Ben Miller, 6-6 Jr. Daniel Hubbard, 5-10 Jr. Jonathan Smith, and 5-9 Sr. Chris Kidd.  Lexington Christian Academy coach Tommy Huston counters with 6-3 Jr. Jon Lannertone, 6-2 Jr. Taylor Blair, 6-5 Fr. Matt Rose, 5-8 Fr. John Stein, and 6-1 Sr. Patrick Nickodem.

John Stein hit a three point basket in the final second to give Lexington Christian Academy a 36-34 victory over Berea.  Berea led 23-8 in the second quarter before LCA outscored Berea 21-2 to take a 29-25 lead.  Berea rallied to take a 34-33 setting the stage for Stein’s last second heroics.

LCA shot 37.5% from the field including three of 13 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on three of six free throws, pulled down 16 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 22 Berea turnovers.  Berea shot 41.4% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Pirates connected on six of 12 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored seven points off 10 LCA turnovers.

Patrick Nickodem led LCA with 10 points.  Jon Lannertone and 6-0 Sr. Jon Hale added eight and seven points respectively.

Ben Miller led Berea with 16 points including four three point baskets and pulled down six rebounds.  Barry Scudder-Davis added 13 points and six rebounds.  Daniel Hubbard pulled down eight rebounds.

Lexington Christian captured a close 46-42 decision over Sayre tonight.  LCA shot 30.4% from the field including two of 18 from the three point line.  The Lady Eagles connected on 10 of 18 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 19 Sayre turnovers.  Sayre shot 41.5% from the field including three of nine from beyond the arc.  The Lady Spartans connected on five of six free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 LCA turnovers.

Kristen Jacob had a “monster” game for LCA and led the Lady Eagles with 27 points and 21 rebounds.  Katelin Bundy added 12 points.

Sophie O’Rourke led Sayre with 11 points including three three point baskets.  Gabby Bowie added 10 points and 13 rebounds.  Maddie Mitchell chipped in with nine points and six rebounds.  Grace Rahman recorded eight points.

Lexee Wilson led Hart County with 19 points including three three point baskets.  Lindsey Burd added 15 points including nine of 11 free throws and pulled down seven rebounds.  Jordon Strothers recorded nine points and eight rebounds.

Craig Floyd led Lexington Catholic with 25 points including three three point baskets.  Floyd was 11 of 16 from the field including three of seven from the three point line, and did not go to the free throw line.  Jack Whitman added 22 points and 13 rebounds.  Bryan Woomer recorded seven points, 12 assists, and four steals.
